that the interests of the County would be best served if the Precinct Gfficials of Kerr
County are paid on a salary basis for the year 1871;
Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee and un-
animously approved by the Court, that the Precinct Officials of Kerr County be paid on
a salary basis for the year 1y71, as provided by law.
It is further ordered that the Clerk of the Court prepare a certified copy of this
order and send same to the State Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin, Texas.

DTO. 11272 TRANSFER OF $15,325.00 TO SOCIAL SECURITY FUND
On this the 11th day of January 1871, upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County
Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to transfer the following amounts to the Social
Security Fund from their respective funds:
Jury Fund a 325.00
Road & Bridge $5,200.00
General X1,325.00
Officers Salary $8,475.00
Total $15,325.00

N0. 11273 ORDER SETTII~?G PAY OF GRAND JURORS, PETIT JURORS AND SPECIAL VF.NIREMEN IN DISTRICT
COURT AND OF JURORS IN COUNTY COURT
On this the 11th day of January 1871, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of fixing the compensation of Grand Jurors, Petit Jurors and Special Veniremen
in the District Court of Kerr County and of Jurors in the County Court of Kerr County as
is required to be done annually by Article 2122, Vernons Civil Statutes, Article 1056 of
the Code of Criminal Procedure and Article 35.24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and
after due consideration, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commis-
sioner Schwethelm and unanimously approved by the Court, that the compensation to be paid
during the year 1g71 and unti]_ further orders of the Court to all Grand Jurors and Petit
Jurors and Special Veniremen shall be fixed at 3~5.C0 per day, including those summoned but
excused, provided however, that t?rose County and District Court Petit Jurors and Grand
Jurors actually impaneled and sworn, shall be paid ;7.50 per day, with such compensation
to be paid out of the Jury Fund of Kerr County.

On this the 11th day of January 1971, came on to be considered by the Court the day
and dates to be fixed by the Court as legal holidays for the year 1g71, also that the Court-
house shall be closed on those days and the Court is of the opinion that the following days
and dates are and shall be declared as legal holidays for the County:
