unanimously approved that said officer be authorized to deputize Jewell Smith as Deputy r-
Tax Assessor-Collector and that her salary be set at $4365.00 per annum, effective the
date of her qualification, the same being the 9th day of March 1971.

N0. 11306 ORDER AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF SURPLUS FUNDS OUT OF KERR COUNTY SPECIAL RIGHT-
UF-WAY FUND 1N U. S. TREASURY BILLS
On this the 8th day of March, 1971, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of investing certain surplus funds currently on deposit in the Kerr County
Special Right-of-Way Fund; and
It appearing to the Court that investment of such funds in United States Treasury
Bills would be advantageous and desirable, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Schwet-
helm, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously approved by +,he Court that the Chas.
Schreiner Bank, the official depository of Kerr County, be authorized to purchase U. S.
Treasury Bills with a maturity value of $10,000.00 and maturing on November 30, 1971, for
Kerr County and to hold the same in safekeeping; and
It is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher
on the Special Right-of-Way Fund in the necessary amount to purchase the Treasury Bills
as aforesaid, doing so when advised by the Chas. Schreiner Bank as to the actual purchase
price, and making the said voucher payable as directed by the said bank; and
It is further ordered that the County Judge be authorized to sign any necessary
purchase orders or other instruments on behalf of Kerr County.

N0. 11307 APPORTIONMENT OF $8,000.00 FROM ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND
Un this the 8th day of March 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-
ed by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County
Treasurer be and are hereby directed to apportion the sum of $8,000.00 out of the General
Road and Bridge Fund to the respective Commissioners' precincts:

On this the 8th day of March 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-

Center Point Night watchman be increased to $3,000.00 per annum, effective March 1, 1971.
