On this the gth day of August 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the bid of Edens Implement
Company for a Tractor-Loader for Kerr County Yrecinet No. 4 be accepted, as per revised
specifications and that the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher, payable
cut of the General Road and Bridge Fund ir, the amount of $7,034.68 to Edens Implement

On this the 9t Y. day of August, 1971, came on to be heard ar.d considered by the Court
the matter of compensation to be offered Roland E. PJalters for his eonveyar.ce to the State
of Texas of a parcel. of land required for right-of-way, together with the granting of two
channel easements required for the reconstruction of F. M. Road 480; and after due con-
sideration, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Stone
and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County hereby offers to pay Roland E.
PJaiters the sum of $6,000.00 for land, damages and severance damages for his conveyance to
the State of Texas the aforesaid parcel of right-of-way comprising 7.1 acres of land out of
Survey 101, together ~.~ith his granting of two channel easements comprising 0.37g acres out
of Survey 101; and in addition, Kerr County will construct approximately 5,000 feet of new
livestock fencing along the lines of the right-of-way cenveyed, which fencing shall consist
of 39 inch net wire with one barbed wire on top and pressure treated nreosoted posts with
7 inch or better tops, set 25 feet apart with 3 heart cedar stays between; and upon request,
after construction of the new roadway, fencing will be winged to both ends of the drainage
structure in the proximity of Station ?_70+50 o.f the new roadway so that it may be utilized
as a stockpass; and in addition, Kerr County will provide not to exceed four 14 foot steel
gates to be installed at locations aeceptabl.e to Mr. Walters and the Texas Highway Depart-
rnent ;
And it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a
voucher on the F. M. 480 Right-cf-Way Fund in the amount of $6,000.00 payable to Roland E.
Walters or as he may otherwise in writing direct, the said voucher to be delivered upon
d`J reoeipt of the properly executed Right-of-Way Deed and Channel Easements, together with a
,,,/"~ partial release of all outstanding liens against the 7.1 acres of right-of-way conveyed.
