the following officers present:

and the Court having duly opened the following proceedings were had:
N0. 11432 RESIGNATION OF EDGAR A. WALLA CE, COUNTY ATTORNEY
On this the 30th day of September 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Sehwethelm,
seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of
Edgar A. Wallace, County Attorney, be accepted with sincere regrets, effective September
30, 1971 and that he be extended a vote of thanks.

IQO. 11433 APPOINTMENT OF SPENCER W. BROWN AS COUNTY ATTORNEY FOR KEHR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 30th day of September 1971, upon motion made by Commiasioner Bartel,

seconded by Commissioner Sehwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the appointment
of Spencer W. Brown be made to fill the vacancy of County Attorney for Kerr County, Texas,
due to the resignation of Edgar A. Wallace. Said appointment to be effective until the
next General Election and until a sur,cessor qualifies.

COURT RECONVENED and the following proceedings were had:
N0. 11434 APPROVAL OF BOND OF SPENCER W. BROWN, COUNTY ATTORNEY
On this the 30th day of September 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee,
seconded by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved the bond of Spencer W.
Brown, as County Attorney for Kerr County, Texas.

N0. 11435 ORDER SETTING SALARY OF COUNTY ATTORNEY

On this the 30th day of September 1971, upon motion made by Commissioner Sehwethelm,
seconded by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved that the salary of Spencer
W. Brown, County Attorney, be set at $7200.00 per annum, effective October 1, 1971.

N0. 11436 APPROVAL OF 1971 TAX ROLL BY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
On this the 30th day of September 1971, with the County Judge and County Commissioners
sitting as a Board of Equalization, did carefully examine the Tax Rolls made up from the
approved assessments by Juanita Reeves, Tax Assessor-Collector for Kerr County, and for
the year 1971 and did find that all Surveys and parts of Surveys of land, and all lots and
blocks of the r,ities and towns of this County and all personal property, insofar as they
were able to ascertain have been assessed for taxes for the year 1971 at its true and full
market or real value.
The 1971 tax roll reflects the following:
