On this the 8t v. day of May 1972, came on to be examined by the Court the various
reports of April of the County and Precinct Officers of Kerr Oounty, Texas, and the same
having been heard and considered by the Court, finds that s~rid reports are true and correct
and should be approved; therefore, upon motion of Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commis-
sioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the subrriitted reports be accepted

the matter o£ providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County; and
It appearing t,o the Court that the existing Fire Fighting Contract ~~~ith the City of
Kerrville, Texas, will expire on May 31, 1972, and it further appearing to the Court that

the existing contrrret and the working arrangements aEireed upon thereunder are providing
^ satisfactory rursl fire protection. for the citizens of Kerr County and that it would be
to the best interest of Kerr Count~/ to rene~,v such contract for a one year period.
It is, therefore, ordered on motion by Co.~imissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commis-
sioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court brat the existing Fire Contract with
the City of Kerrville, Texas, as amended effective June 1., 1970, be renewed for a aeriod
of one year co.l;nencing June 1, ly,C and ending May 3?., 1y73 as provided in Part C of the
existing contract, said renewal to become effective upon the joinder therein by tee Cit,7
of Kerrville by letter caeceptarrce as provided for by the terms of 'rant C, and it is further
ordered t'r;at the Clerk of this Court forward -~ certified copy of this order to the 'City of
Kerrville, Texas.

~" of T~Ir. H. F. Butt for the refund of certain ad valorem taxes paid to Kerr County which texas
were assessed against and paid cn 7.00 acres of land out of B. I'. Cage Survey 116, Abstract
106, for the years iy61-71 inclusive;
And it appearing to the Court that the owner of record of the 7 acres of land concern-
ed during the period 1y61-71 was in fact P'Ir. Robert; Iloldsworth and that the said Robert
Holdsworth also rendered the sauna 7 acres of land 1'or taxes for these years and also did pay
all ad valorem taxes assessed against same on the r:err County tax rolls for the years 1y61-
71, inclusive, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner
Sallee and unanimously approved by the Court that ':he request of the said Ii. E. Butt for re-
fund of those ad valnre;~r taxes which he p=aid :in error to Kerr County for the years 1.961-71,
inclusive, and which were duly deposited in the Kerr County Treasury be refunded as follows:

On this the 8th day of May, 1.97?, came on to 'oe heard and considered by the Court
the matter of investing certain. funds currently on deposit in the General. Road and Bridge
Fund, and it appearing to the Gourt that the curia of x50,000.00 out of the Ue-neral Read and
Bridge Fund should be promptL,y invested for s period of six months pending possible need
of these funds for expenditure, it i.s ordered on motion by Com:-uissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Stone and unanimously approved by the Co,.zrt that the sum of x50,000.00
out of the General Road and Bridge Furd be invested in an Interest Bearing Certificate of
Deposit with the Chas. Schreiner Bank, whicF: investment shall be made as soon as practicable
and that such Certificate of De no sit shall be for a ;.period of six months from. date of invest-
moot.
And it is further ordered that the C1erI, and the Treasurer be authorised to draw a
proper voucher in the amount of x50,000,00 nn the General Road and Bridge Fund to effect
