and Commissioner Stone voting "NO", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving
an order granting ad valorem tax exemption as to certain properties of the Grand Lodge of
the Order of the Sons of Hermann in the State of Texas, to-wit: 196.58 acres out of Abst.
No. 107, Survey 383, J. S. Collard; with the exception of 20 acres out of Abat. 107, Survey
383, known as the"Home for the Aged^.

On this the 30th day of June 1972, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded

by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge be authorized
"" to advertise for bids for the construction of a bridge on the Fall creek Road at the
Turtle Creek Crossing in Precinct No. One, as per plans and specifications on file in the
office of Lester B. Whitton, Planning Consultant, whose address is: 510 Main St ., Kerrville,
Texas. Bids to be received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Central Daylight Time, July 21, 1972,
at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. Kerr County reserves the right
to reject any and all bide. Notices to be published in the official newspaper of Kerr
County, Texas for two consecutive weeks.

On this the 30th day of June 1972, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-
ed by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved the Plat of Sheppard Hills
Estates, subject to the provisions that actual maintenance of roadways will not be assumed
by Kerr County, until residential development shall justify said maintenance.

Court of Kerr County grant its consent to the appointment of Lavern D. Harris to the
office of Assistant County Attorney; -------- the said Lavern D. Harris to have the
same powers and authority as the County Attorney and to serve at the expense and will of
the said County Attorney. This consent is subject, however, to the said Lavern D. Harris
taking the official oath of office and depositing it in the office of the County Clerk.
