to reject any and all bids. Notices to be published in the official newspaper of Kerr
County, Texas for two consecutive weeks.

On this the 30th day of June 1972, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-

Estates, subject to the provisions that actual maintenance of roadways will not be assumed
by Kerr County, until residential development shall justify said maintenance.

ON THIS, the 30th day of June, A. D., 1972, came on for consideration by the Commis-
sinners Court of Kerr County, Texas, the matter of consenting to the appointment of an
Assistant County Attorney to serve without expense to the County, at the special instance
and request of and for a period of time to be determined by County Attorney, Spencer W.
Brown; and it appearing that a need exists for an Assistant County Attorney; and it appear-
ing that the said Spencer W. Brown, County Attorney, has recommended the appointment of
Lavern D. Harris, to the office of Assistant County Attorney; and it appearing that the
said Lavern D. Harris is duly licensed and authorized to practice as an Attorney and Coun-
selor at Law in all the Courts of the State of Texas; and it appearing that the County
Attorney is authorized and empowered under the terms and provisions of Art. 331, Revised
Civil Statutes, of Texas, to make such an appointment with the consent of the Commissioners
Court ;
~PHEREFORE, upon the motion of Commissioner Schwethelm and seconded by Commissioner
Sallee, and unanimously approved by the Court, it is hereby ordered that the Commissioners
Court of Kerr County grant its consent to the appointment of Lavern D. Harris to the
office of Assistant County Attorney; -------- the said Lavern D. Harris to have the
same powers and authority as the County Attorney and to serve at the expense and will of
the said County Attorney. This consent is subject, however, to the said Lavern D. Harris
taking the official oath of office and depositing it in the office of the County Clerk.
