COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION JULY 21, 1972 at 10:00 o'clock A. M., with
the following officers present:

and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had:
N0. 11629 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF WHELAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR REPAIRS TO FLAT ROCK DAM
On this the 21st day of July 1972, came on to be considered by the Court the sealed
bide for repairs to the East end of Flat Rock Dam in Kerr County, Texas.
Upon opening and reading the bids filed with the County Clerk of the Court, it is
found that the bid of Whelan Construction Company, in the amount of $10,014.10, be accept-
of
ed as the lowest and best bid, subject to the provisions/filing a bid bond in the amount
of lOgL of bid amount.
Motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously
approved by the Court.

N0. 11630 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF WHELAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BRIDGE
ON FALL CREEK ROAD, AT TURTLE CREEK CROSSING IN PRECINCT N0. ONE
On this the Zlst day of July 1972, came on to be considered by the Court the sealed
bids for construction of a bridge on Fall Creek Road at Turtle Creek Crossing in Precinct
No. One, Kerr County, Texas.
Upon opening and reading the bids filed with the County Clerk of the Court, it is
found that the bid of Whelan Construction Company, in the amount of $17,860.00, be aecept-
ed as the lowest and beat bid.
Motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commiaeioner Schwethelm and unanimous-
ly approved by the Court.

N0. 11631 BUDGET HEARING SET FOR AUGUST 16, 1972 at 9:00 o'clock A. M.
On this the 21st day of July 1972, upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that a public hearing on the 1973
Budget for Kerr County, Texas, be set at 9:00 o'clock A. M., August 16, 1972 and that
the County Clerk be hereby directed to issue notice by publication, with notice thereof to
be published in the official newspaper of Kerr County one time, that the Commissioners'
Court of Kerr County will submit for consideration of the public, a Budget for the Control
of the County Financial Affairs during the fiscal year, January lat, 1973 to December 31,
1973, the same to be at a public hearing to be held August 16, 1972 at 9:00 o'clock A. M.,
in the Kerr County Commissioners' Court Room of the Courthouse in Kerrville, Texas.

N0. 11632 APPROVAL OF MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR HERSCHAL PO WELL
On this the 21st day of July 1972, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm,
seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that Herachal Powell be
granted a monthly allowance in the amount of $40.00 per month, for a period of six months,
effective immediately, payable out of the General Fund.
