Eileen Brown, as Secretary for the Sheriff's Office and that her salary be fixed at
$3,600.00 per annum, effective March 5, 1973, payable out of the Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund.

N0. 11810 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF E. A. SCHREIBER, SHERIFF, TO APPOINT HENRY S. AYALA
AS DEPUTY SHERIFF OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 12th day of March 1973, came on to be considered by the Court the applica-
tion of E. A. Schreiber, Sheriff, for authority to appoint and deputize Henry S. Ayala
as Deputy Sheriff of Kerr County, Texas, and it appearing to the Court that said applica-
tion should be approved; therefore, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded
by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved that said officer be authorized to
deputize Henry S. Ayala as Deputy Sheriff of Kerr County, Texas,and that his salary be
set at $6585.00 per annum, effective the date of his qualification and tYiat said salary
be paid out of the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund.

PROBATION UNIT
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF KERR
WHEREAS, Kerr County, Texas, desires to participate in the proposed plan to provide
for adult and juvenile probation services for the counties comprising the Second 38th
Judicial District of the State of Texas; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas does hereby
endorse the application for a grant from the Texas Criminal Justice Council for a

probation unit entitled "Second 38th Judicial District Probation Unit", and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Kerr County also agrees to furnish necessary office space
for the probation officer who will maintain an office in Kerr County pursuant to the
provisions of said grant application.
On motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously
approved by the Court, the foregoing resolution is adopted and approved this the 12th day
of March, 1973.

N0. 11812 ORDER AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF SURPLUS FUNDS OUT OF HIGHWAY 16 RIGHT-OF-WAY
FUND AND SPECIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY FUND
On this the 12th day of March 1973, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of investing certain funds currently on deposit in the following funds and in
the amounts listed:
Highway 16 Right-of-Way Fund $20,000.00
Special Right-of-Way Fund $11,500.00
and that these funds should be promptly invested for a period of 90 days, pending possible
need of these funds for expenditure, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee, second-
ed by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that the sum of $20,000.00
out of Highway 16 Right-of-Way Fund and $11,500.00 out of Special Right-of-Way Fund be
invested in Interest Bearing Certificates oŁ Deposits with the Chas. Schreiner Bank, which
investments shall be made as soon as practicable and that such Certificates of Deposits „

And it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw
proper vouchers on the funds aforementioned and in the amounts above set forth, to effect
