MEEKER, City-County Sanitarian, Report for April 1973 o-o-o-o-e-o-o-o-o-o NO. 11847 ORDER RENEWING FIRE FIGHTING CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, TEXAS On this the 14th day of May, 1973, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County; and, It appearing to the Court that the existing Fire Fighting Contract with the City o£ Kerrville, Texas, will expire on May 31, 1973, and it further appearing to the Court that the existing contract and the working arrangements agreed upon thereunder are providing satisfactory rural fire protection for the citizens of Kerr County and that it would be to the best interest of Kerr County to renew such contract for a one year period; It is, therefore, ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that the existing Fire Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas, as amended effective June 1, 1970, be renewed for a period of d~~~,~ ~~s~~ one year commencing June 1, 1973 and ending May 31, 1974 as provided in Part C of the existing contract, said renewal to become effective upon the joinder therein by the Gity of Kerrville by letter acceptance as provided for by the terms of Part C, and it is further ,~--~- ordered th t the Clerk of this Court forward a certified copy of this order to the City of Kerrville, Texas. G-O^O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O N0. 11848 ORDER DISAPPROVING PUHTIONS OF S'T'ATEWIDE HUNTING, FISHING AND TRAPPING PROCLAS~IATIUN N0. A-l, 1973-74 On this the 14th day of May, 1973, came on to be heard by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, sitting at its regular May, 1973 term and at its first regular meeting occurr- ing more than 5 days subsequent to the 26th day of April, 1973, the matter of approval andjor disapproval of the provisions of Statewide Hunting, Fishing and Trapping Proclama- tion nTO. A-l, 1973-74 as adopted by the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the State of Texae on April 26, 1973; and after due consideration by the Court, it is ordered that those portions of said Proclamation not hereinafter disapproved by specific reference or by _. indirect reference are deemed to be approved and that the following portions, provisions and sections of said Proclamation No. A-1 are hereby disapproved: I. Part III, Section 3.01 and all of Section 3.03 except the last three (3) para- graphs thereof which paragraphs pertain only to the issuance, use, and return of un- used antlerless deer permits or special tags. In disapproving the foregoing, it is the express intention o£ the Court to disapprove all portions o£ the aforesaid Proclamation No. A-1 which would in any manner or by inference establish what is commonly known as the "Either Sex" Deer Season for Kerr County whether herein specifically enumerated in this Urder or. not, and it is further the intention of the Court that as a resixlt of its action of disapproval of the foregoing sections of said proclamation No. A-1, the taking of antlerless and/or doe deer shall be governed by permits in the same manner as originally provided by the Possum Kingdom, Permian Basin, Edwards Plateau and Trinity-Brazos Hunting, Fishing and Trapping Proclamation No. N-2, 1971-72 as amended September, 1971, which provisions did remain in force and effect in Kerr County for the 1972 open season pursuant to the provisions of House Bill No. 372, Chapter 329, Acts of the 62nd Legislature, Regular Session, which statutory authority is also the basis for the action taken herein. II. Part 7, Section 5.06, Item No. 1, Sub Paragraphs (a) and (d) which provide for an either sex bag limit for turkey and for a spring gobbler season respectively. III. Part 7, Section 7.01, Sub-paragraph (b), it being the further expressed intention ~' ~~t. of the Court that the bag limit and minimum length for catfish shall, pursuant to the aforesaid provisions of House Bill No. 372, Chapter 329, Acts of b2nd Legislature, be continued to be governed by the applicable provisions of the aforesaid Proclamation r?-2, 1971-1972. On motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm, the foregoing order is hereby approved by a unanimous vote of the Court, this the 14th day of May, 1973.
