WHITTON AND A. B. SWANK TO PREPARE DETAIL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR PROPOSED COUNTY-CITY JAIL FACILITY AND AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR PROJECT FUNDING GRANT On this the 12th day of November, 1973 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of employing professional services for the purpose of preparation of final detail plans and specifications for the construction of the proposed County-City jail facility and it appearing to the Court the planning and design study for the proposed facility has been completed in a commendable manner by Lester B. Whitton and A. B. Swank and it further appear- ing to the Court that project funding is available in the form of Criminal Justice Planning Funds, but, that as a prerequisite for making application for such funding, professional services for the preparation of detail plans and specifications should be employed, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Sallee and unanimously approved by the Court that, subject to concurrence herein by the City of Kerrville, the professional services of Lester B. Whitton and A. B. Swank be employed for the purpose of preparing detail construction plans and specifications as per recommendation contained in their planning and design study for the facility as therein proposed and it is further order- ed that Kerr County proceed, in conjunction with the City of Kerrville, to make application for a Criminal Justice Planning fund grant based on professional services in the amount of 7.64% of a proposed construction cost of $558,555.00 or a total amount of $42,765.00 to be %~, funded 75% by Criminal Justice Planning funds and 25% by local funds of the City of Kerrville yam' and Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 11987 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ELECTION RETURNS CANVASSED AND TABULATED On this the 12th day of November 1973, came on to be considered by the Court the returns to be canvassed, to determine the results of the Constitutional Amendment Election held on November 6, 1973. And the Court having canvassed and tabulated the returns of the Nineteen Election Precincts and the Absentee Canvassing Board Box, are of the opinion that said returns, after having been opened and canvassed, are true and correct and should be approved.
