having given due consideration to the recommendations heretofore received from a group of concerned private citizens, which recommendations were for the erection of additional office space consisting of two floors of approximately 5000 square feet each to be situated in the proximity of the northeasterly corner of the present Courthouse and designed to accomodate the offices of the County Clerk and the County Tax Assessor-Collector; and it further appear- ing to the Court that the aforesaid concept as presented to the Court would, if adopted, furnish proper office space for the two County offices employing the largest number of personnel and having the largest volume of business to transact and that the relocation of these two offices from the present Courthouse structure would make additional space available to other County offices and Courts; and it further appearing that the professional services of Lester B. Whitton and A. B. Swank have heretofore been employed for the purpose of pre- paring plans and specifications for the construction of a proposed County-City jail facility in the proximity of the northerly corner of the present Courthouse; and it further appearing to the Court that any additional office space construction in the area presently under con- sideration should be designed and planned in a manner and design compatible with and in harmony with the design of the proposed jail facility, it is ordered on motion of Commissioner Schwethelm seconded by Commissioner Sallee and unanimously approved by the Court that the professional services of Lester B. Whitton and A. B. Swank be employed to prepare plans and specifications for the construction of additional Courthouse office space in accordance with (~~ the concept hereinabove set forth and pursuant to such written contract as may be agreed upon ;~lv, and entered into with Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 11993 APPROVAL OF QUARTERLY REPORT OF COUNTY FINANCES AND TABULAR STATEMENT OF COUNTY CLERK OF INDEBTEDNESS, EXPENDITURES AND RECEIPTS OF KERR COUNTY On this the 16th day of November 1973, came on to be examined by the Court the Quarterly Report and Tabular Statement of Emmie M. Muenker, County Clerk, covering the indebtedness, expenditures and receipts of Kerr County for the quarter beginning August 1, 1973 and ending October 31, 1973, and the same having been compared and examined by the Court and found correct. Upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court un- animously approved said report and ordered said report to be filed for future reference and subject to audit. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 11994 APPROVAL OF QUARTERLY REPORT OF COUNTY TREASURER On this the 16th day of November 1973, in Regular Session of Commissioners' Court, came on for examination the Quarterly Report of Mrs. E. M. McDonald, County Treasurer of said County, for the period beginning on the 1st day of August 1973 and ending on the 31st day of October 1973, and the same having been examined and compared by the Court and found correct. And it appearing to the Court that during the said time the Treasurer has received for account and credit and paid out of each of said funds as reflected in the report and become a part thereof; and that said accounts received and paid out of the respective funds, since the filing of the preceding report and during the period above stated, are found correct as therein shown. It is therefore ordered by the Court that the said detailed report be, and the same is hereby approved, and the Clerk of this Court is hereby ordered to file same in the record binder provided for the Minutes of County Finances, and that proper credits be made in the accounts of said Treasurer in accordance with this order. Whitton and A. B. Swank, and it further appear- ing to the Court that project funding is available in the form of Criminal Justice Planning Funds, but, that as a prerequisite for making application for such funding, professional services for the preparation of detail plans and specifications should be employed, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that, subject to concurrence herein by the City of Kerrville, the professional services of Lester B. Whitton and A. B.
