WHEREAS, in RERR COUNTY on INTERSTATE HIGH:JAY 10 near Kerrville, local officials have
requested extension of a Frontage Road from its present terminus to State Highway 16,
a distance of approximately 0.2 mile; and
WHERFA3, it has been determined that construction of the requested frontage road would
materially add to the traffic safety on this facility; and -'-
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Texas Highway Department to assist the County in such
work;
NOW, TiiEREFORE, the State Highway Engineer is directed to tender the following proposal
to Kerr County:
Provided the County will:
1. Furnish all necessary right of way free of cost and clear of obstructions,
with acquisition procedures in accordance with applicable Federal and State
law» governing the acquisition policies for acquiring real property.
2. Provide for adjuatroent of utilities and for necessary Relocation Abcistance
payments involved in acquisition of right of way.
3. :ortribute the sum of $42,100,taward the construction cost of the project.
The Texas Highway Department will provide for construction of Grading,Structures and
Surfacing for a Frontage Road over the above limits at an estimated State coot of
$42,100, financing the cost in the 1975 State Highway Safety and Betterment i'rogra~a.
L'pon acceptance of this Order by the agpropriate officials of Kerr County, the State
Highway Engineer is directed to enter into necessary agreements with the County cover-
ing the details of the proposed impzoverents, to proceed with engineering development
of the project, and with construction as authorized herein in the moat feasible and
economical manner.
This Order is subject to acceptance by Kerr County and if not accepted within 90 days
of the date hereof, the action herein contained shall be automatically cancelled.
