Muenker, County Clerk, belong- ing to officers, witnesses and other persons, remaining in her hands uncalled for by the parties entitled thereto, for the period ending the 31st day of December 1973 and held on deposit in the County Clerk's Trust Fund in the amount of $7308.93. Also Quarterly Report of Fines Imposed, Jury and Library Fees, Judgments received and collected in the County Court by the Clerk of said Court, in the amount of $3428.00. It appearing to the Court that said reports are in due form and should be approved; therefore, on motion of Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved said reports as submitted, to be filed with the County Clerk. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12029 APPROVAL OF COUNTY CLERK'S SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT ON TRUST FUND AND FINES On this the 14th day of January 1974, came on to be examined by the Court the semi- annual report of all receipts and disbursements of the County Clerk Trust Fund in the Chas. Schreiner Bank, Kerrville, Texas, of collections and deposits and disbursements by her in and ending December 31, 1973 her hands for the period from July 1, 1973/and held on deposit in the County Clerk's Trust Fund in the amount of $7308.93. It appearing to the Court that said report is in due form and should be approved. Motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Sallee and unanimously approved by the Court. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12030 ORDER SETTING COUNTY AND PRECINCT OFFICIALS ON SALARY BASIS On this the 14th day of January 1974, at a Regular Term of the Commissioners' Court, with a quorum being present, there came on for consideration the matter of compensation -* of various County and Precinct Officials of Kerr County, Texas, for the year 1974, as pro- vided for in Article 3912e, Section 2, R. C. S. of Texas and Article 3912e, Section 6, R. C. S. of Texas. And it appearing to the Court that Kerr County has a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants, according to the last Federal Census and that the interests of the County would be best served if the County Officials and Precinct Officials of Kerr County be paid on a salary basis as provided by law, for the year 1974. Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, it is ordered that the County Officials and Precinct Officials of Kerr County be paid on a salary basis as provided by law, for the year 1974. It is further ordered by the Court that the Clerk of the Court prepare a certified copy of this order and send same to the Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin, Texas. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12031 TRANSFER OF $24,035.00 TO SOCIAL SECURITY FUND On this the 14th day of January 1974, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to transfer the following amounts to the Social 4r~" Security Fund from their respective funds: Jury Fund $ 465.00 Road & Bridge Fund 7200.00 General Fund 1740.00 Officers Salary Fund 14630.00 Total $24035.00 o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12032 ORDER SETTING PAX OF GRAND JURORS, PETIT JURORS AND SPECIAL VENIREMEN IN DISTRICT COURT AND OF JURORS IN COUNTY COURT On this the 14th day of January 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of fixing the compensation of Grand Jurors, Petit Jurors and Special Veniremen in the District Court of Kerr County and of Jurors in the County Court of Kerr County as is required to be done annually by Article 2122, Vernons Civil Statutes, Article 1056 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Article 35.24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and after due consideration, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court, that the compensation to be paid during the year 1974 and until further orders oŁ the Court to all Grand Jurors and Petit Jurors and Special Veniremen shall be fixed at $5.00 per day, including those summoned but excused, provided however, that those County and District Court Petit Jurors and Grand Jurors actual- ly impaneled and sworn, shall be paid $7.50 per day, with such compensation to be paid out of the Jury Fund of Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12033 ORDER SETTING PAY OF JURY BAILIFFS On this the 14th day of January 1974, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the compensation of Grand Jury Bailiffs and Petit Jury Bailiffs in both civil and criminal cases in all of the Courts of Kerr County be fixed at the rate of $15.00 per day, retroactive to January 1, 1974, vouchers shall be drawn on the Jury Fund, to compensate all Bailiffs in the same manner as vouchers are drawn to compensate jurors serving in the Court in which such Bailiffs may have served. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12034 ORDER SETTING COURTHOUSE HOLIDAYS FOR 1974 On this the 14th day of January 1974, came on to be considered by the Court the day and dates to be fixed by the Court as legal holidays for the year 1974, also that the Court- house shall be closed on those days and the Court is of the opinion that the following days and dates are and shall be declared as legal holidays for the County: February 18th ------- Washington's Birthday May 27th ------- Memorial Day July 4th & 5th ------- Independence Day and day following Sept. 2 ------- Labor Day October 28 ------- Veterans' Day November 28 & 29 ------- Thanksgiving Day and day following December 24 and December 25th ------- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day January 1, 1975 New.
