obligation by Kerr County to construct an additional cattle guard across said relocated
road south of Turtle Creek, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded
by Commissioner Stone and unanimously approved by the Court that the Treasurer and the Clerk
be authorized to draw a voucher on the General Road and Bridge Fund payable to Louis Kisida,
which voucher shall be accompanied by a certified copy of this order, it being further
stipulated that the acceptance of the cash settlement herein set forth shall be deemed to
be a full and final discharge of all obligation to the said Louis Kisida and Meek-Syfan
Ranch Brokerage, Inc. to construct any additional fencing along the west side of the road
easement granted Kerr County by Meek-Syfan Ranch Brokerage, Inc, or to construct any addi-
tional cattle guards across said easement.

ON THIS the 11th day of March, 1974, came on for consideration by the Commissioners
Court of Kerr County, Texas, the matter of consenting to the appointment of an Assistant
County Attorney to serve without expense to the County, at the special instance and request
of and for a period of time to be determined by County Attorney, James C. Nogues; and it
appearing that a need exists for an Assistant County Attorney; and it appearing that the
said James C. Nogues, County Attorney, has recommended the appointment of Spencer W. Brown,
to the office of Assistant County Attorney; and it appearing that the said Spencer W. Brown
is duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney and counselor at law in all the
Courts of the State of Texas; and it appearing that the County Attorney is authorized and
empowered under the terms and provisions of Art. 331, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, to
make such an appointment with the consent of the Commissioners Court;
THEREFORE, upon the motion of Commissioner Stone and seconded by Commissioner Sallee,
and unanimously approved by the Court, it is hereby ordered that the Commissioners Court of
Kerr County grant its consent to the appointment of Spencer W. Brown to the office of the
Assistant County Attorney; the said Spencer W. Brown to have the same powers and authority
as the County Attorney and to serve at the expense and will of the said County Attorney.
This consent is subject, however, to the said Spencer W. Brown taking the official oath of
office and depositing it in the office of the County Clerk.
