JOBES AND WIFE, CHRISTINA F. JOBES FOR RIGHT OF WAY FOR STATE HIGHWAY 16 On this the 16th day of April, 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of acquiring a parcel of land designated by the Texas Highway Department as right of way Parcel No. 26D from John F. Jobes and wife, Christina F. Jobes for the reconstruction of State Highway 16, and it appearing to the Court that the landowners concerned have agreed to accept Kerr County's prior letter offer for the land concerned, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone and seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County offer to pay John F. Jobes and wife, Christina F. Jobes, the sum of $9,765.00 as compensation for land and damages for their conveyance to the State of Texas of a parcel of land comprising 2.958 acres of land out of Survey 1907 and Survey 1133 with payment being made upon approval for filing and recordation by the Texas Highway Department of the owners properly executed right of way deed; and it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher on the Highway 16 right of way fund in the amount oŁ $9,765.00 payable to John F. Schwethelm Commissioner Precinct 1 Roger Stone Commissioner Precinct 4 and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: NO. 12112 A RESOLUTION WHEREAS the Sheriff of Kerr County is participating in the state-wide VHF law enforce- ment communications network, and WHEREAS, the system as designed for Kerr County does not provide the geographic coverage as anticipated and expected, and WHEREAS, it is necessary, if at all possible, to provide dependable coverage of that part of Kerr County which is Center Point and its immediate vicinity, such section not now reached by the VHF system; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County of Kerr will enter into an agreement with William B. Carr and Associates to conduct a survey and develop recommendations as to how such coverage can be obtained. The fee for such survey not to exceed $1,500.00, of which the County of Kerr agrees to pay a maximum of 25%, not to exceed $375.00; the remaining funds to be provided by the Criminal Justice Council of the State of Texas. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alamo Area Council of Governments is authorized to apply to the Texas Criminal Justice Council for a grant for this purpose. FOR RIGHT OF WAY FOR STATE HIGHWAY 16 On this the 2nd day of May, 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of acquiring three parcels of land designated by the Texas Highway Department as Parcels Nos. 26F, 26 G, and 26K from Kerr Country Land, Inc., a corporation, for the recon- struction of State Highway 16, and, it appearing to the Court that as a result of prior negotiations between the corporate officers of said Corporation and Kerr County an agreed consideration for the conveyance of the aforesaid 3 parcels has been arrived at, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm, and unanimously approved that Kerr County offers to pay Kerr Country Land, Inc, the following sums as compen- sation Łor land and damages for its conveyance oŁ the three following parcels of land out of certain unplatted acreage owned by the Corporation: 1. For Parcel 26 F containing 5.880 acres of land comprising 4.246 acres out of Survey 1133 and 1.634 acres out of Survey 400, the sum of $20,004.00. 2. For Parcel 26G comprising 3.811 acres of land out of Survey 400, the sum of $12,575.00. 3. For Parcel 26K containing 0.167 acres oŁ land comprising 0.141 acres out of Survey 400 and 0.026 acres out of Survey 1135, the sum of $550.00. It is further ordered payment as aforesaid will be made upon approval for filing and recordation by the Texas Highway Department of the Corporation's properly executed right of way deeds for each of the 3 aforesaid parcels together with a partial release of an out- standing lien as to each of the three parcels by Joe E. Schero, which approval shall be condi- tioned on final title approval and payment of all ad valorem taxes, including current taxes heretofore assessed against the property conveyed, and it is further ordered that the Clerk
