NO. 12190 ORDER AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR KERR COUNTY LATERAL ROAD SURPLUS FUNDS IN
ACCOUNT WITH BOARD OF COUNTY AND DISTRICT ROAD INDEBTEDNESS
On this the 12th day of August 1974, it coming to the attention of the Court that there
will be surplus funds in the amount of $19,945.67 credited to the lateral road account of
Kerr County by the Board of County and District Road Indebtedness of the State of Texas and
it appearing to the Court that said funds should properly be expended for the purpose of
construction and improvement of lateral roads within Kerr County, it is ordered on motion
by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Sallee and unanimously approved by the
Court that Kerr County request the Board of County and District Road Indebtedness to Forward
the said funds to the Treasurer of Kerr County upon their becoming available; and it is
further ordered that all such funds are here and now earmarked, set aside and designated to
be used by Kerr County for the purpose of construction and improvement of Kerr County Lateral
Roads, and the Treasurer of Kerr County be directed to deposit such funds upon their receipt
in the proper fund in the County Depository and it is further ordered that the County Clerk
prepare a certified copy of this order and forward the same to the Board of County and
District Road Indebtedness, 217 Highway Building, Austin, Texas.

On this the 12th day of August 1974, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-
ed by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of Paula Kelly
as Deputy Tax Assessor/Collector,
be ratified and confirmed, effective July 31, 1974 and that the resignation of Betty Jewell
Smith, as Deputy Tax Assessor/Collector, be ratified and confirmed, effective August 20, 1974.

NO. 12192 APPROVAL OF SALARY INCREASE OF ANN STAPP, DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR OF KERR
COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 12th day of August 1974, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded
by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved the salary increase of Ann Stapp,
Deputy Tax Assessor/Collector of Kerr County, Texas, effective as of August 1, 1974 at
$5520.00 per annum, payable out of Revenue Sharing Trust Fund.

ON THIS the 12th day of August, A. D. 1974, came on for consideration by the Commis-
sinners Court of Kerr County, Texas, the matter of consenting to the appointment of an
Assistant County Attorney to serve at a rate of compensation to be set by the Commissioners
Court of Kerr County, Texas, at the special instance and request of and for a period of time
to be determined by County Attorney, James C. Nogues; and it appearing that a need exists
for an Assistant County Attorney; and it appearing that the said James C. Nogues, County
Attorney, has recommended the appointment of Stephen B. Ables, to the office of Assistant
County Attorney; and it appearing that the said Stephen B. Ables is duly licensed and authoriz-
ed to practice as an attorney and counselor at law in all the Courts of the State of Texas;
and it appearing that the County Attorney is authorized and empowered under the terms and
provisions of Art. 331, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, to make such an appointment with
the consent of the Commissioners Court;
