NO. 12196 ORDER AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF SURPLUS FUNDS OUT OF GENERAL, F. M. & LATERAL ROAD AND JURY FUNDS On this the 12th day of August 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of investing certain funds currently on deposit in the following funds and in the amounts listed: General Fund $50,000.00 F. M. & Lateral Road Fund $60,000.00 Jury Fund $10,000.00 and that these funds should be invested as soon as current Certificates of Deposits mature and the proceeds thereof are deposited to the credit of Kerr County, pending possible need of these funds for expenditure, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that the sum of $50,000.00 out of General Fund, $60,000.00 out of F. M. & Lateral Road Fund and $10,000.00 out of Jury Fund be invested in Interest Bearing Certificates of Deposits with the Chas. Schreiner Bank, which investments shall be made as soon as practicable and that such Certificates of Deposits shall be for a period of 90 days from date of investment. And it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw proper vouchers on the funds aforementioned and in the amounts above set forth to effect the afore- said investments with the Chas. On this the 12th day of August 1974, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, second- ed by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that a public hearing on the 1975 Budget for Kerr County, Texas, be set at 9:00 o'clock A. M., August 30, 1974 and that the County Clerk be hereby directed to issue notice by publication, with notice thereof to be published in the official newspaper of Kerr County one time, that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County will submit for consideration of the public, a Budget for the Control of the County Financial Affairs during the fiscal year, January 1st, 1975 to December 31, 1975, the same to be at a public hearing to be held August 30, 1974 at 9:00 o'clock A. M., in the Kerr County Commissioners' Court Room of the Courthouse in Kerrville, Texas. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12198 ORDER AMENDING ORDER NO. 11,764 RELATIVE TO PAYMENT OF CERTAIN SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES FROM REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND On this the 12th day of August, 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of amending Order No. 11,764 as entered by the Court on the 8th day of January, 1973 and as amended by Order No. 12,100 entered by the Court on the 8th day of April, 1974, which orders provided for the payment of certain salaries and allowances from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund, and it appearing to the Court that due to the reduction of funds current- ly available in the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund an adjustment should be made in the payments previously authorized by the provisions of said Order No. 11,764, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Stone, and unanimously approved by the Court that Order No. 11,764 be amended so as to provide that from and after August 1, 1974 only the following payments of salaries and allowances shall be made from the said Revenue Sharing Trust Fund: 1. County Sheriff's salary 2. Salaries of all Deputy Sheriffs other than night watchmen r 3. Salary and regular monthly travel allowance of County Tax Assessor-Collector C/i~. excluding compensation allowed for administration of Certificate of Title Act 4. ROSS AND WIFE, LEONA ROSS FOR RIGHT OF WAY FOR STATE HIGHWAY 16 On this the 12th day of August, 1974, came on to be heard and considered by the Court ~~ the matter of acquiring a parcel of land designated by the Texas Highway Department as right of way Parcel No. 22 from George E. Ross and wife, Leona Ross, for the reconstruction of State Highway 16, and it appearing to the Court that, as a result of prior negotiations between the owners and Kerr County an agreed consideration for -the conveyance of the said Parcel No. 22 has been arrived at, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County offers to pay George E. Ross and wife, Leona Ross, the sum of $5,300.00 as compensation for land and damages for their conveyance to the State of Texas of a parcel of land comprising 1.309 acres out of Survey No. 147, N.
