COME NOW, Willard O. Bass and wife, Jane L. Bass, and Willard R. Bass, of the County
of Kerr, State of Texas, and respectfully files this their application and petition,

in the precinct in which the hereinafter mentioned road is located, to discontinue the
public road more fully hereinafter described, including spsclfically a description of the

dedicated to the public by the owner, and that there is no public necessity that such road ever
be or used as a public road, but on the contrary the same should be closed and discontinued.

Court of Kerr County, Texas, with a quorum present, came on to be considered by the Commis-
sioners Court of Kerr County, Texas, at a regular term of sueh Court, the matter of the
Application and Petition for Discontinuance of County Road heretofore filed by Willard O.
Bass and wife, Jane L. Bass, and Willard R. Bass, pursuant to the provisions of Art. 6705,
V.T.C.S., to discontinue the public road more fully hereinafter described, and the Commis-
sioners Court, after having considered and fully discussed and understood such matter, finds
as a fact or facts that such application and petition is signed by at least eight (8) free-
holders in the precinct in which the hereinafter mentioned road is located; that the public
road petitioned to be discontinued is fully described in such application and petition,
including specifically a description of the beginning and termination of such road; that
the applicants have given notice by written advertisement of their intended application and
petition; that such written notice was posted at the courthouse door of the County Court-
house of Kerr County, Texas, Kerrville, Texas, and at two other public places in the vicinity
of the route of such road, the same being at the beginning and termination of such road;
that snch written notice was posted at said places more than at least twenty (20) days prior
to the date of the granting of this order; that such public road has never bees improved nor
maintained by the County of Kerr except with the owners• permission nor has it ever been
opened or used by the public except with the owners' permission and has never been dedicated
to the public by the owners and that there is no public necessity that such road ever be or
used as a public road; that the hereinafter described road should be closed and discontinued;
that all prerequisites of law, whether mentioned specifically herein or not, have been duly
and timely complied with and that the following order should be entered.

the matter of investing certain funds currently on deposit in the following funds and in
the amounts listed:

sad that these funds should be invested as soon as current Certificates of Deposits mature
and the proceeds thereof are deposited to the credit of Kerr County, pending possible need
of these funds for expenditure, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, sad unanimously approved by Elte Court that the sum of $100,000.00
out of General Fund, 510,000.00 out of Jury Fund and $10,000.00 out of Road ~ Bridge No. 4
Fund, be invested in Interest Bearing Certificates of Deposits with the Chas. Schreiner Bank,
which investments shall be made as soon as practicable and that such Certificates of Deposits
shall be for a period of 90 days from date of investment.
And it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw proper
vouchers on the funds aforementioned and in the amounts above set forth to effect the afore-
said investaents with the Chas. Schreiner Bank.
