AN oIZDER by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, calling a bond election
to be held within said County, providing for the conduct of the election and making
other provisions incident and related to the purpose of this order.
FdHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, has determined that a special
election should be called to ascertain whether said governing body shall be authorized to
issue bonds of said County in the amounts and for the purposes hereinafter mentioned; now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDERED BY THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That an election be held in said County on the 6th day of August, 1975,
which date is not less than fifteen (15) days nor more than thirty (30) days from the date
of the adoption hereof, at which election the following propositions shall be submitted:
PROPOSITION NUMBER ONE
"SHALL the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County, Texas, be authorized to
issue the bonds of said County in the amount of EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($860,000), to mature serially at such time as may be deemed most
expedient by the Commissioners' Court, but not later than FORTY (40) years from
the date thereof, to be issued and sold at any price or prices and to bear
interest at any rate or rates as shall be determined within the discretion of
the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, at the time of issuance, for
the construction of improvements and an addition to the existing County
Courthouse and Jail Building (expand and improve Courthouse facilities); and
shall the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, be authorized to levy,
assess and collect annually, while said bonds or any of them are outstanding,
a tax upon all taxable property in said County, sufficient to pay the interest
on said bonds and to provide a sinking fund for their final redemption at
maturity, pursuant to authority conferred by the Constitution and laws of the
State o£ Texas?"
PROPOSITION NUMBER TWO
"SHALL the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County, Texas, be authorized to
issue the bonds o£ said County in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
($100,000), to mature serially at such time as may be deemed most expedient
by the Commissioners's Court, but not later than FORTY (40) years
from the date thereof, to be issued and sold at any price or prices
and to bear interest at any rate or rates as shall be determined
within the discretion of the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County,
Texas, at the time of issuance, for the construction of improvements
and an addition to the existing County Courthouse and Jail Building
(provide new jail facilities); and shall the Commissioners' Court of
Kerr County, Texas, be authorized to levy, assess and collect annually,
while said bonds or any of them are outstanding, a tax upon all taxable
property in said County, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds
and to provide a sinking fund for their final redemption at maturity,
pursuant to authority conferred by the Constitution and laws of the

SECTION 2: That paper ballots shall be used for said election, which ballots
shall be prepared in accordance with the V.A.T.S., Election Code so as to permit the
electors to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the aforesaid propositions which shall be set forth in
substantially the following form:

Qualified election clerks to serve and assist in the holding of said election shall
be appointed by the respective Presiding Judges herein appointed in accordance with V.A.T.S.
Election Code, Chapter 3.
On election day, the polls shall be open from 8:00 A. M. to 7:00 P.bi.
Absentee voting shall be conducted at the County Clerk's office in the County Court-
house, Kerrville, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of V.A.T.S., Election Code, Chapter
5.
SECTION 4: All resident qualified electors of Kerr County, Texas, shall be per-
mitted to vote at said election. The manner of holding and conducting said election shall
be governed by the General Laws of the State of Texas regulating general elections, except
as modified by the provisions of Chapter 1, Title 22, V.A.T.C.S. In addition, the election
materials enumerated in Senate Bill No. 165, Acts of the 64th Legislature, Regular Session,
1975, shall be printed in both English and Spanish £or use at each polling place and for
absentee voting.
SECTION 5: That a substantial copy of this order shall serve as proper notice of
said election. Said notice shall be posted in each of the election precincts and at the
County Courthouse not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date on which said elec-
tion is to be held, and said notice shall also be published on the same day in each of two
successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in said County, published therein,
the first of said publications to be made not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the
date set for said election.
