ON THIS the 1st day of Januazy, A. D. 1975, came on for consideration by the Commis-
sinners Court of Kerr County, Texas, the matter of consenting to the appointment of an
Assistant County Attorney to serve at a rate of compensation to be set by the Commissioners
Court of Kerr County, Texas, at the special instance and request of and for a period of time
to be determined by County Attorney, James C. Vogues; and it appeazinq that a need exists
for an Assistant County Attorney; and it appearing that the said James C. Vogues, County
Attorney, has recommended the appointment of Stephen 8. Abler, to the office of Assistant
County Attorney; and it appeazing that the said Stephen B. Abler is duly licensed and
authorized to practice as an attorney and counselor at law in all the Courts of the State
of Texas; and it appearing that the County Attorney is authorized and empowered under the
terms and provisions of Art. 331, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, to make such an appoint-
ment with the consent of the Commissioners Court;
THEREFORE, upon the motion of Commissioner Sallee and second by Commissioner Stone,
and unanimously approved by the Court, it is hereby ordered that the Commissioners Court
of Kerr County grant its consent to the appointment of Stephen B. Abler to the office of
Assistant County Attorney; the said Stephen 8. Abler to have the same powers and authority
as the County Attorney and to serve at the expense and will of the said County Attorney.
This consent is subject, however, to the said Stephen B. Abler taking the official oath
of office and depositing it in the office of the County Clerk.
