ORDER NO. 125Q5 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation has come before the Kerr County Commissioners' Gourt asking that the County join with them in a program to promote better traffic safety on the County`s roads; and, WHEREAS, the Federal Government has made funds available through the Federal Highway Administration to finance cooperative efforts between local and state governments for the purpose of developing and implementing projects which will aid in the better control of vehicular traffic on county roads; and, WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County is in agreement with the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety that development and implementation of aPavement Marking Demonstration Frogram in the County would be beneficial and an improvement of the safety of County roads for its citizens through extensive striping; and, WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation agrees to finance a Pavement Marking Frogram for Kerr County from Federal Highway Administration funds received by the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Kerr County Commissioners Court agrees to join with the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation in a Pavement Marking Demonstration Frogram for the purpose of applying control safety striping on eligible County roads.
