of June 1976 at 10:00 o'clock A. M., in the City of Kerrville, Texas, a regular term of the
Commissioners' Court, with the following officers present:

NO. 12706 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS
On this the 14th day of June 1976, came on to be examined by the Court the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the respective Commissioners' Precincts since
the last term of Court, which claims and accounts were approved for payment by the Clerk and
Treasurer, in amounts and out of Road and Bridge Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Lateral Road No. 1 and
Lateral Road No. 2, General, Officers Salary, County Law Library, Revenue Sharing Trust,
Kerr County Public Library, Jury, Courthouse and Jail Construction Fund #2, Courthouse
Renovation Fund and Kerr County Juvenile Probation Funds, as shown in the Minutes of Accounts
Allowed from page 1916 thru 1920 Voucher Nos. 45513 thru 45682 which were
made a part hereof and of this order.
Motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously
approved by the Court.

NO. 12707 MONTHLY REPORTS OF COUNTY AND PRECINCT OFFICIALS OF KERR COUNTY APPROVED
On this the 14th day of June 1976, came on to be examined by the Court the various reports
of May of the County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, Texas, the same having been heard
and considered by the Court, finds that said reports are true and correct and should be approv-
ed, therefore upon motion of Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court
unanimously approved that the submitted reports be accepted and filed with the County Clerk
for future reference and subject to audit.

On this the 14th day of June 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that the bid of Keller Paving Company
be accepted as the lowest and best bid for paving in Precincts Nos. 1, 2 and 3. (0.45 per
gallon asphalt and $4.90 per cubic and a gre ate - truck measurement)

NO. 12709 CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENTS TO JOINT AIRPORT BOARD
On this the 14th day of June 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded

the appointment of Mr. Harry A. Turnpaugh, Dr. C. C. Jones and Vernon Hatch as members of the

PETITION FOR DISCONTINUANCE OF COUNTY ROAD
TO THE HONORABLE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS:
COMES NOW, Temple Henderson and wife, Wanda Henderson, of the County of Kerr, State of
Texas, and respectfully files this their application and petition, pursuant to the provisions
of Art. 6705, V.T.C.S., signed by at least eight (8) freeholders in the precinct in which
the hereinafter mentioned road is located to discontinue the public road more fully herein-
after described, including specifically a description of the beginning and termination of
such road, after the expiration of at least twenty (20) days notice by written advertisement
of applicants' intended application, posted at the courthouse door of Kerr County, Texas, and
at two other public places in the vicinity of the route of such road, and for such application ""'
and petition your applicants would respectfully show to the Commissioners Court of Kerr County,
Texas, that they are the owners of property that surround the section of the hereinafter
described public road; that such public road has been bypassed by the new State Highway 27
and is no longer used and is in fact unusable by the public and is no longer improved nor
maintained by the county, and that there is no public necessity that such road ever be or
used as a public road, but on the contrary the same is closed off by said new highway fence and
should be and remain closed and discontinued.
The public road which your applicants desire to be discontinued and closed is more fully
described as follows, to-wit:

RIGHT-OF-WAY ABUTTED BY THE TEMPLE HENDERSON LAND NEAR MOUNTAIN HOME, KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
Being all of a certain 0.841 acre strip, tract or parcel of land out of J. S. Lester Survey
No. 420, Abstract No. 231, in Kerr County, Texas; formerly State Highway No. 27 right-of-way;
abutted and adjoined along both sides for full length by lands of Temple Henderson, 9.659
acres conveyed from J. S. Wheless, Jr., et al, by a Warranty Deed dated the 6th day of
February, 1976 and recorded in Volume 185 at Page 347, and a 0.74 acre tract conveyed from
Society of Mary (Province of St. Louis, Mo.) by a deed dated the 17th day of January, 1957
and recorded in Volume 101 at Page 283, both recordings in the Deed Records of Kerr County,
Texas; and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an existing 1/2" iron stake at the east end of a finger or point of the north
end of said Henderson 9.659 acre tract, in the southwest right-of-way line of the present
State Highway No. 27, which point bears approximately 1,046 ft. S. 45° E. and 168 ft. S. 45°
W. from a triangular rock column said to be the common point for west corner of W. H. Jackson
Survey No. 1763, the east corner of H. S. Nelson Survey No. 1794, and the north corner of
said J. L. Lester Survey No. 420, in the south line of W. S. Fessenden Survey No. 1143;
THENCE, along the northeast right-of-way line of the former State Highway No. 27: N. 65° 41'
W., 118.84 ft., a 1/2" iron stake; N. 59° 27' W., 55.13 ft., a 1/2" iron stake; N. 51° 59' W.,
104.55 ft., a '~" iron stake; and N. 47° 11' W., 344.65 ft. crossing Fessenden Branch to a '~"
iron pipe set for the north corner of the herein described tract in the northwest line of said
Henderson 9.659 acre tract, 64.22 ft. S. 32° 45' W. from its north corner;
