On this the 11th day of October 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded
by Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved payment of Estimate No. 2 on the Boiler
Replacement Contract, in the amount of 53,154.00 to Gillette Air Conditioning Co., and that
the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher in the amount of 53,154.00 out of
the Court House Renovation Fund, payable to Gillette Air Conditioning Company.

NO. 12793 ORDER AUTHORIZING PAYMENT DUE R. B. NOWLTN AND WIFE, HAZEL NOWLIN, FOR DAMAGES
RESULTING FROM CONVEYANCE OF RIGHT OF WAY FOR F. M. ROAD 480 PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT
SET FORTH IN ORDER NO. 11,542 DATED MARCH 13, 1972
On this the 11th day of October, 1976, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of discharging Kerr County's prior contractual obligation to R. B. Nowlin and wife,
Hazel Nowlin, as set forth in Order No. 11,542 dated March 13, 1972 and recorded in Volume N,
page 294 of the minutes of the Court; and it appearing to the Court that the consent of Roland

L. Walters, an abutting property owner, for the closing and abandoning as a public road of
a section of the former right of way of F. M. Road 480 east of the Camp Verde Store has not
been obtained by October 1, 1976; and it further appearing to the Court that the said Roland
L. Walters has made payment to Kerr County of the consideration due Kerr County in the event
he did not grant such consent prior to October 1, 1976 and as set forth in Order Nos. 11,481
and 11,543 as recorded in Volume N, pgs. 272 and 295 of the minutes of the Court and that said
payment has been deposited in the F. M. and Lateral Road Account of Kerr County; it is order-
ed on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously approved
by the Court that Kerr County pay the sum of S6,000.00 to R. B. Nowlin and wife, Hazel Nowlin,
for the purpose of fully and finally discharging Kerr County's prior contractual obligations
as set forth in the said order nos. 11,431 and 11,542; and it is further ordered that the
Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher on the F. M. and Lateral Road Fund in

be transmitted to them together with a certified copy of this order.

On this the 11th day of October 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge be authorized
to make grant application under Local Public Works Employment Act, for funds to complete the
proposed Ker; County Detention Facility.

Mills, as Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector of Kerr County, Texas, be ratified and confirmed,

On this the 11th day of October 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge be authorized
to advertise for bids for the following equipment:
Unit No. 1 for use of Commissioners' Precinct No. 2:
One 1977 Model two-ton truck cab and chassis. Bid shall include trade-in
allowance for a 1968 Chev. 2 ton cab and chassis, Ser. #C55 385 155497, as is
where is, together with the complete changeover and transfer of owners Gallion
Dump Body and hydraulic system from trade-in to the new unit.
Unit No. 2 for use of Commissioners' Precinct No. 4:
One 1977 Model two-ton truck cab and chassis. Bid shall include trade-in
allowance for a 1966 Chev. 2 ton cab and chassis, Ser. #C61 365 154177, as is
where is, together with the complete changeover and transfer of owners Gallion
Dump Body and hydraulic system from trade-in to the new unit.
Specifications are on file at the office of the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas.
