BROWN AS JUSTICE OF THE PEACE OF PRECINCT NO. 1 OF OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1977 On this the 13th day of December, 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that Spencer W. Brown be appointed to fill the vacancy of the office of the Justice of the Peace of Precinct No. 1, ~ %/ which vacancy results from the resignation of James J. Vogel, said resignation having this date been accepted by the Court effective December 31, 1976, and that said appointment to be effective January 1, 1977 and that he be appointed to serve until the next General Election and until his successor qualifies. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12842 ORDER APPOINTING JOHN P. HILL TO FILL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF JUSTICE OF THE PEACE OF PRECINCT NO. 4 On this the 13th day of December, 1976, came an to be heazd and considered by the Court the necessity of making an appointment to fill a vacancy in the office of the Justice of the Peace in Precinct No. 4 in Kerr County; and it appearing to the Court that the duration of the appointment of John P. Hill to the said office effective June 1, 1976 pursuant to Order No. 12694, was until the next succeeding General Election and until the qualification of his successor; and it further appearing to the Court that at the General Election held on November 2, 1976 there was no one elected pursuant to applicable provisions of the Texas Election Code to fill the remainder of the unexpired term of said office which term expires on December 31, 1978 and that therefore as a matter of law a vacancy exists in said office, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, with Commis- sioners Sallee, Bartel and Stone voting "AYE" and Commissioner Schwethelm abstaining from voting, said motion carrying by a majority vote, that John P. Hill be appointed to fill the ~ unexpired term in the office of Justice of the Peace of Precinct No. 4, effective immediately ~~~ upon his requalification, and to serve until the next General Election and until his successor qualifies; and it is further ordered that his service as de facto Justice of the Peace of Precinct No. 4 from the time of the last preceding General Election to the date of his re- qualification be recognized and confirmed for all purposes and that his compensation shall remain and continue as heretofore set out by the Court. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-a-o NO. 12843 APPROVAL OF BOND OF JOHN P. Hill, as Justice of the Peace of Kerr County Precinct No. 4. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12844 ORDER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE 1977 MODEL HALF TON PICK-UP FOR USE BY THE KERB COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT On this the 13th day of December 1976, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge be authorized to advertise foz bids for one 1977 Model Half Ton Pick-up for use by the Kerr County Sheriff's Department. Bid price to include trade-in of one 1975 Ford four door sedan, VIN 5U53C138697 as is where is, less radio and other special police equipment. Specifications are on file in the office of the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas. Bids to be received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., January 10th, 1977, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.
