the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as are required. No
bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the time set for receipt of the proposals. The bidders
will notify their suppliers and sub-contractors that this project is exempt from all City and
State sales taxes.
BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all
local condltiona, and carefully examine the plans, specifications and other documents. Should
a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the plane, specifications or other documents,
or should he question their meaning, he should at once notify the Engineer and obtain clari-
fication prior to submitting any bid.
In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating the contract price, the County reserves
the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof. in addition, the Commia-
sionera Court of Kerr County, Texas, reserves the right to waive any informality in or to
reject any and all bids.

On this the 28th day of January, 1977, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the letter request of Chas. Schreiner Hank, the County Depository of Kerr County, to substitute
one 51,000,000 Federal National Mortgage Association Debenture for one $1,000.,000 Twelve Federal
Land Bank Bond now pledged to secure that certain Depository Pledge Contract entered into
between the said Bank and Kerr County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 7, page 210 of the Bond
Record of Kerr County, Texas, on March 7, 1975;
And it appearing to the Court that the Depository Sank desires to redeem said Twelve
Federal Land Bank Bond and that the said Sank should properly be allowed to make a substitution
of acceptable securities,
It is order on motion by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich, and unanimoua-
ly approved by the Court that the aforesaid request of the said Chas. Schreiner Bank be granted
and that the said County Depository Bank be authorized to substitute one 51,000,000 Federal
National Mortgage Association Debenture maturing March 10, 1981, for the following previously
pledged Bond:
One $1,000,000.00 Twelve Federal Land Bank Bond matured 1/20/77;
And it is further ordered that the Frost National Bank of San Antonio, Texas, the custodian

the said Chas. Schreiner Bank upon receipt of one $1,OOO,p00 Federal Mortgage Association

NO. 12895 ORDER AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF QUITCLAIM DEED AS TO ABANDONED COUNTY ROAD RIGHT OF
WAY ABUTTING LOT 1 OF BLOCK 1 OF THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS SUBDIVISION OF THE
CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 28th day of January, 1977 came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of granting a quitclaim deed as to a small strip of abandoned County Road right of
way lying between the south boundary of Lot 1, Block 1 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Sub-
division of the City of Kerrville and the north right of way line of State Spur 98, also known
as Thompson Drive in the City of Kerrville; and it appearing to the Court that there remains
a small strip of land along the south boundary of said Lot 1, Block 1 out of a former County
roadway granted Kerr County by Mrs. Lina Eckstein, et al, in the year 1936 by instrument
recorded in Vol. 60, page 625 of the Kerr County Deed Records, which strip of land was not
incorporated into the State right of way of State Spur 98 at the time of its construction,
and that said small remainder is no longer required for road purposes and further does not serve
any useful public purpose; It is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commia-
sinner Sallee and unanimously approved by the Court that the County Judge be authorized to
execute a quitclaim deed on behalf of Kerr County to Heart O~ the Hills Post 1480, Veterans
of Foreign Wars of the United States, Inc., the owner of Lot 1, Block 1 of the said Veterans
of Foreign Wars Subdivision; which quitclaim deed shall be to that portion of Survey 144,
James H. Cocks granted Kerr County by Lina Eckstein et al by instrument recorded in Vol. 60
page 625, Kerr County Deed Records which lies between the north right of way line of State
Spur 98 and the south boundary as platted of Lot 1 Block 1 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
