COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION, March 8th, 1977 at 2:00 o'clock P. M., Central Standard Time, in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville, Texas, with the following officers present: _ JULIUS R. NEUNHOFFER EARL GARRETT CLINTON M. SALLEE VICTOR LICH ROGER STONE and with the following absent: None, COUNTY JUDGE COMMISSIONER PRECINCT NO. 1 COMMISSIONER PRECINCT NO. 2 COMMISSIONER PRECINCT NO. 3 COMMISSIONER PRECINCT NO. 4 said meeting being open to the public and notice of such meeting having been given in advance as prescribed by Article 6252-17, Section 3A, V.A.T.C.S. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o The taking and receiving of bids proposed to be let by the County for the construction of a Correction/Detention Facility for Kerr County, within the shell structure of the Annex to the Kerr County Courthouse, was declared closed at this time. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Four sealed bids were opened and read aloud by the County Judge, Julius R. Neunhoffer. Court recessed until 3:00 o'clock P. M. to permit Architect to Confer with apparent low bidders. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Court re-convened with all members present and the following proceedings were had: ORDER NO. 12933 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF C. A. LOGEMAN CO., INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A CORRECTION/DETENTION FACILITY FOR KERR COUNTY, WITHIN THE SHELL STRUCTURE OF THE ANNEX TO THE KERR COUNTY COURTHOUSE On this the 8th day of March 1977, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Lich, and unanimously approved by the Court, that pursuant to recommendation received by A. B. Swank, F.A.I.A. and Lester B. Whitton, P. E., that the low base bid of C. A. Logeman Co., Inc. of San Antonio, Texas, be accepted as the lowest bid, in the amount of S581,800.00, for the construction of a Correction/Detention Facility for Kerr County, within the Shell Structure of the Annex to the Kerr County Courthouse, acceptance subject to final approval by the U. S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12934 APPROVAL OF PLAT OF LOYAL VALLEY NO. FOUR On this the 8th day of March 1977, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved the Plat of Loyal Valley No. Four, provided however, that Kerr County will not assume responsibility for maintenance of roads thereon dedicated, until such time that roads have been paved and acceptable to the Commis- sioner of Kerr County Precinct No. One, and further, that the foregoing Conditions be entered on the face of the Plat, prior to the filing of said Plat in the Plat Records of Kerr County, Texas. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 12935 OFFER TO MORRIS K. HOLEKAMP AND WIFE, GERTRUDE S. HOLEKAMP, FOR RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE EXTENSION OF F. M. ROAD 1341 On this the 8th day of March, 1977, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of acquiring a parcel of land designated by the State Department of Highways and together with a channel easement designated as Parcel 8 Public Transportation as Parcel No. 8,/(E), from Morris K. Holekamp and wife, Gertrude B. Holekamp, for the extension of F. M. Road 1341 from its present eastern terminus to the Cypress Creek Road exit of Interstate Highway 10; and it appearing to the Court that, as a J result of prior negotiations an agreed consideration for the conveyance of the said Parcels ~' ~~ I' Nos. 8 and 8(E) has been arrived at, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County offer to pay Morris K. Holekamp and wife, Gertrude B. Holekamp, the sum of $9,692.00 as compensation for land and damages, including fencing costa, for their conveyance to the State of Texas of a parcel of land comprising 7.542 acres out of G. F. Holekamp Survey No. 461 and L. Freeman Survey No. 376 together with a channel easement comprising 0.086 acres out of Survey No. 461, which parcel consists of 3.282 acres of new right of way and 4.260 acres situated within the existing County roadway, with payment being made upon their delivery to Kerr County of their properly executed right of way deed together with a partial release of an outstanding lien by The Federal Land Bank of Houston; and it is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher on the F. M. 1341 right of way fund in the amount of $9,692.00 payable to Morris K. Holekamp and wife, Gertrude B. Whitton, PE Architect and Engineer The Owner and the Contractor agree as set forth below. 1 ARTICLE 1 THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The Contract Documents consist of this Agreement, Conditions of the Contract (General, Supplementary and other Conditions), Drawings, Specifications, all Addenda issued prior to execution of this Agreement and all Modifications issued subsequent thereto. These form the ~ Contract, and all are as fully a part of the Contract as if attached to this Agreement or repeated herein. An enumeration of the Contract Documents appears in Article 7.
