M., with all members present and the following proceedings were had: NO. 13055 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF D & L MAINTENANCE FOR JANITORIAL SERVICE FOR KERR COUNTY COURTHOUSE AND ANNEX On this the 14th day of July 1977, came on to be considered by the Court, Bids for Janitorial Service for the Kerr County Courthouse & Annex. Upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously accepted the bid of D & L MAINTENANCE of #1 Cedar Way, Kerrville, Texas, for complete maintenance for the Kerr County Courthouse & Annex, excluding the jail, in the amount of $1257.00 per month, effective 7/21/1977. It is further ordered that the County Judge of Kerr County be authorized to execute a Contract on behalf of Kerr County, between D & L Maintenance and Kerr County for Janitorial Service. Said Contract to include one full time day man and three night employees and that Mr. Scott LeMeilleur of D & L Maintenance to furnish sufficient bond and that the bond premium to be paid by Kerr County. Said contract to be recorded in the Commissioners' Court Minutes of Kerr County, Texas CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF KERR This contract is entered into this the 15th day of July, 1977 between Scott LeMeilleur of Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas, doing business as D & L Maintenance, and Kerr County, Texas, acting by and through its County Judge pursuant to authority of Kerr County Commissioners' Court Order No. 13055 entered into the minutes of the Court on the 14th day of July, 1977. 1. The purpose of this contractual agreement is to provide for janitorial services to be provided for the Kerr County Courthouse and the annex thereto, but does not include areas now used or to be hereafter used for the detention of prisoners. 2. The agreement hereby entered into by the parties hereto is for the purpose of implementing and accepting the written bid proposal of the said Scott LeMeilleur d/b/a D & L Maintenance, which is incorporated herein as Exhibit A and is made a part hereof for all purposes except as hereinafter modified or extended upon. 3. The original bid proposal is modified to include regular daily maintenance services for those basement areas of the Kerr County Courthouse which are now or hereafter may be in daily use as office space by personnel. 4. This agreement shall remain in full force and effect from such date as the said D & L Maintenance shall commence to render services hereunder during the month of July, 1977, and until either modified by mutual written agreement or until terminated by either party hereto on thirty (30) days written notice by one party to the other contracting party. 5. Kerr County will make monthly payments for services rendered by D & L Maintenance pursuant to this agreement, such payments being in the amount of $1,257.00 per month, payable on or before the 10th day of each month for services rendered during the previous calendar month. Payments made for the month of July, 1977 shall be prorated on the basis of days on which actual services may have been rendered during such month. 6. This bid will consist of cleaning first floor only in new annex, and first and second floors of old existing courthouse. The square footage of which is approximately 54., 24,168 square feet. Walkways connecting the above mentioned buildings are included in bid. Existing basement in old courthouse to be swept & dusted once weekly mopped periodically. 1. New annex initial preparations a. Clean and apply one coat sealer and two coats of non-slip wax on floors. b. Dust & polish all furniture c. Clean all fountains, wash rooms and bathrooms, breakroom d. Clean all Windows 2. Initial preparations for existing courthouse. a. Strip, clean & acidize terrazo' the then apply 1 coat sealer, 2 coats non slip wax. b. Strip clean & wax all other floors according to needs. c. Dust & polish all furniture scrub walls clean windows, sills and venitian blinds. d. Clean all Washrooms, both rooms utility rooms stair wells on aforementioned floors. e. Clean all shelved areas & counters. 3. Daily maintenance for combined buildings will include as follows: a. Dump trash cans replace liners when needed. b. Dust furniture and Counters daily, polish when needed. c. Dust mop floors daily, mop when needed, spray buff periodically between re-waxing. d. Clean bathrooms, breakrooms fill toilet paper and towel dispensers daily. e. Vaccum outside edges & covers of records books every 6 months. f. Clean Windows when needed. g. Sweep outside steps every other day. h. Replace burned out light bulbs. 4. D & L Maintenance will supply wax, furniture polish, window cleaner, bathrooms deoderants & cleaner, trash can liners, mops brooms, buckets, rags, buffer vaccum, squeege, ladders & floor cleaning products. 5. D & L Maintenance will not supply paper products nor light bulbs or florescent bulbs. 6. D & L Maintenance will furnish & clean entrance mats of our choosing. 7. The initial preperation will take longer on older existing courthouse. We hope this will be taken into consideration. 8.
