and that these funds should be invested as soon as possible, in Interest Bearing Certificates
of Deposits, pendina possible need of these funds for expenditure, it is ordered on motion
made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved
the above mentioned investments in Interest Bearing Certificates of Deposits, with the Chas.
Schreiner Bank, which investments shall be for the amounts and period of time as shown above.
And it is further ordered that proper vouchers be drawn on the funds aforementioned and in
the amounts above set forth to effect the aforesaid investments with the Chas. Schreiner
Bank.

NO. 13153 ORDER AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY PURCHASE OF CHAIRS FOR NEW COUNTY COURTROOM
On this the 14th day of November 1977, after reviewing bids previously secured, upon
motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously
approved an emergency purchase of Porty eight (48) new Krueger-Castelli Chairs, No. 062, as
an emergency item, in the amount of $103.75 each, together with necessary storage caddies, and
that the County Judge of Kerr County, Texas, be authorized to purchase said items.

NO. 13154 APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT OF KERR COUNTY
CORRECTION/DETENTION FACILITY
On this the 14th day of November 1977, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Garrett, the Court unanimously approved Change Order No. 2 of Construction
Contract of the Kerr County Correction/Detention Facility, between C. A. Logeman, Inc.,
Contractor and Kerr County, Texas, Owner, as prepared by A. B. Swank, FAIR and Lester B.
Whitton, P.E.

NO. 13155 RESIGNATION OF SIMONA G. GARZA AS DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR OF KERR COUNTY
On this the 14th day of November 1977, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Garrett, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of Simona G.
Garza be ratified and confirmed, effective October 31, 1977.

NO. 13156 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF DORIS LEE SMITH, TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR OF KERR COUNTY,
TEXAS, FOR APPOINTMENT OF ESTHER R. GARZA AS DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-Collector
On this the 14th day of November 1977, came on to be considered by the Court, the
application of Doris Lee Smith, Tax Assessor-Collector of Kerr County, Texas, for authority
to appoint and deputize Esther R. Garza as Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector of Kerr County,
Texas, and it appearing to the Court that said application should be approved, therefore,
upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously
approved that said officer be authorized to deputize Esther R. Garza as Deputy Tax Assessor-
Collector of Kerr County, Texas, at a salary of $5760.00 per annum, payable out of Reveue
Sharing Trust Fund, effective the date of her qualification, the same being November 15, 1977.
