'1 Stone, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved by the Court, that the compensa-
tion to be paid for the month of January 1978 to all Grand Jurors and Petit Jurors and Special
Veniremen shall be fixed at $5.00 per day, including those summoned but excused, provided
however, that those County and Justice of the Peace and District Court Jurors and Grand Jurors
actually impaneled and sworn, shall be paid $7.50 per day.
Effective February 1, 1978, the compensation to be paid to all Grand Jurors and Petit
Jurors and Special Veniremen shall be fixed at $7.50 per day, including those summoned but
excused, after having been sworn, provided however, that County and Justice of the Peace and
District Court Jurors and Grand Jurors actually impaneled and sworn, shall be paid $10.00 per
day.

NO. 13209 ACCOUNTING FIRM OF PRESSLER, THOMPSON & COMPANY EMPLOYED TO AUDIT BOOKS FOR 1977
On this the 9th day of January 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that the professional services of Pressler,
Thompson & Company be employed to audit the books of the County and Precinct Officials of Kerr
County, Texas, for the calendar year 1977.

NO. 13210 ORDER REQUESTING CHAS. SCHREINER BANK, TRUSTEE OF THE CHARLES SCHREINER ROAD FUND,
TO MAKE EXPENDITURE OF ACCRUED EARNINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING RIGHT OF 47AY
FOR STATE LOOP 534 NORTHEAST OF THE CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 9th day of January, 1978, came on to be heard and considered by the Court,
acting in its capacity as Advisory Trustees of the Charles Schreiner Road Fund, pursuant to
judgment entered in Cause No. 6127 on the docket of the 216th District Court of Kerr County,
Texas, the matter of advising the Chas. Schreiner Bank of Kerrville, Texas, Trustee of the
Charles Schreiner Road Fund, as to the purposes for which certain accrued earnings of said
Trust Fund might be expended in furtherance of the purposes for which said trust is created;
And it appearing to the Court that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County is committed
to secure right of way for the construction of that portion of State Loop 534 between State
Highway 16 and F. M. Road 689 which lies outside the city limits of the City of Kerrville.
And it further appearing to the Court that all of the funds required for such right of
way procurement cannot be provided from the current revenues of Kerr County and that the con-
struction of State Loop 534 is essential to provide adequate access to, from and around the
City of Kerrville for the areas which this road would serve; and that it would further serve
to expedite the £low of a large volume of vehicular traffic, it is ordered on motion by

Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved by the Court
that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, acting in its capacity as Advisory Trustee of
the Charles Schreiner Road Fund, hereby recommends that the Chas. Schreiner Bank of Kerrville,
Texas, Trustee of the said Charles Schreiner Road Fund, expend those funds now under its
control which constitute the earnings of the said trust fund for the year 1977 for the purpose
of aiding the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County in the procurement of right of way £or
the construction of the portion of State Loop 534 as aforesaid;
And it is further recommended that the said Chas. Schreiner Bank make payment of such
accrued funds to the Kerr County Treasurer for deposit in the Loop 534 right of way fund
within the Kerr County Treasury Account, at such time as funds become available for disburse-
ment.

Way Fund on the books of the County Treasurer.

NO. 13212 ORDER APPROVING REQUEST OF CONTRACTOR, ROY McGINNIS AND COMPANY, INC., FOR PAYMENT
NO. 4 FOR RESTORATION AND REMODELING OF KERR COUNTY COURTHOUSE
On this the 9th day of January 1978, came on to be examined by the Court, the Contractor's
Request for Payment tdo. 4 of the Construction Contract for the restoration and remodeling of
the Kerr County Courthouse.
Said request for payment having been examined by Lester B. WYiitton Associates and re-
commended to the Court that payment be made to Roy McGinnis and Company, Inc., in the amount
of $16,396.31.
Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the
Court unanimously approved the Contractor's Request for Payment No. 4 of the Construction
Contract and a voucher be drawn in the amount of $16,396.31, payable to Roy McGinnis and
,., Company, Inc., out of the Permanent Improvement Fund.

CONSTRUCTION OF KERR COUNTY CORRECTION-DETENTION FACILITY
On this the 9th day of January 1978, came on to be examined by the Court, the Contractor's
request for Payment No. 9 of the Construction Contract for the Kerr County Correction-De-
tention Facility, and that payment be made at such time and the amount as approved by Lester
B. Whitton, P. E. and A. B. Swank, F.A.I.A. and recommended to the Court.
Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, the
Court unanimously approved the Contractor's Request for Payment No. 9 of the Contract and
the Auditor & Treasurer are hereby authorized to draw a voucher in the amount as approved by
Lester B. Whitton, P. E. and A. B. Swank, F.A.I.A., payable to C. A. Logeman, Inc., out of
the Kerr County Jail Construction Fund.
