On this the 9th day of January 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved payment to Lester B. Whitton Associates
for professional services on restoration and remodeling of the existing Courthouse, in the
amount of $4,158.35 and that a voucher be drawn on the Permanent Improvement Fund, payable
to Lester B. Whitton Associates in the above amount.

NO. 13222 TRANSFER OF $3116.44 FROM OFFICERS SALARY FUND TO REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND
On this the 9th day of January 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized
to transfer the sum of $3116.44 from the Officers Salary Fund to the Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund, as a reimbursement to cover deficiency.

NO. 13223 APPORTIONMENT OF $15,000.00 FROM GENERAL, ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND
On this the 9th day of January 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved that the Clerk and Treasurer be authoriz-
ed to apportion the sum of $15,000.00 from the General Road and Bridge Fund to the four Road
and Bridge Precincts, as follows:

be authorized to employ an additional part-time Deputy, to be compensated on an hourly basis,
at such rate as she may determine.

Kerr County, Texas, from pages 298 thru 301, Volume O.

NO. 13226 ORDER GRANTING MONTHLY ALLOWANCE TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY OF THE 216TH JUDICIAL
DISTRICT
On this the 9th day of January, 1978, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the request of the District Attorney of the 216th Judicial District for a monthly allowance
of $250.00 to be applied towards his cost of office rental and operations required for the
discharge of his official duties; and it appearing to the Court that Kerr County does not
presently furnish office space for the said District Attorney or otherwise contribute towards

the expense of his office operation other than by payment of Kerr County's pro-rata share of
the salary of one secretary; and it further appearing to the Court that the aforesaid request
may lawfully be granted pursuant to the authority of Article 332a, Vernon's Civil Statutes,
it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously
approved by the Court that Kerr County grant an allowance of $250.00 per month ($3000.00 per
annum) to the District Attorney of the 216th Judicial District to assist him in the defraying
of the cost of office rental and operation, and that such allowance be paid out of the General
Fund of Kerr County effective January, 1978, at the rate of $250.00 per month.

NO. 13227 SALARIES OF ELECTED COUNTY AND PRECINCT OFFICIALS AND ALLOWANCES ADOPTED FOR THE
YEAR 1978
On this the 9th day of January 1978, came on to be considered by the Court the matter
of setting salaries and allowances for the year 1978, of elected County and Precinct Officials
of Kerr County, Texas, and it appearing that the method of compensation has been duly set
by the Court according to law, it is therefore ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee,
seconded by Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Garrett, Sallee and Lich and County Judge
Neunhoffer voting "AYE" and Commissioner Stone voting "NO", said motion carrying by a majority
vote, that the annual salaries and allowances be approved, as per schedule on file, effective
as of January 1, 1973.

SMITH, PART-TIME DEPUTY DISTRICT CLERK OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 11th day of January 1978, came on to be considered by the Court, the applica-
tion of Mary Brooks, District Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, for authority to appoint and
deputize Dorothy Smith, as Deputy District Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, and it appearing to
the Court that said application should be approved, therefore, upon motion made by Commissioner
Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that said officer be
authorized to deputize Dorothy Smith as Deputy District Clerk, and that her salary be fixed
on an hourly basis at $3.17 per hour, beginning January 10th 1978, payable out of Officers
Salary Fund.
