PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ON KERR COUNTY CORRECTION/DETENTION FACILITY
On this the 16th day of January 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Garrett, the Court unanimously approved payment to A. B. Swank, FAIR and
Lester B. Whitton, PE, for Professional Services on the Kerr County Correction/Detention
Facility in the amount of $7,927.00.
It is ordered that a voucher be drawn in the amount of $7,927.00, out of the Kerr County
Jail Construction Fund, payable to A. B. Swank, FAIA and Lester B. Whitton, PE.

Doris Lee Smith, for postage, for mailing out the balance of State and County Inventories,
and that a voucher be drawn out of the Officers Salary Fund, in the amount of $200.00, payable
to Doris Lee Smith, Tax Assessor-Collector.

Alexander, as Chief Deputy Sheriff oŁ Kerr County, Texas, be ratified and confirmed, with
regret, effective February 6th, 1978, due to reasons of health.

NO. 13233 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF PAUL FIELDS, SHERIFF OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR
APPOINTMENT OF LA4JRENCE CASTLEBERRY, JR., AS DEPUTY SHERIFF OF I:ERR COUNTY,
TEXAS
On this the 10th day of February 1978, came on to be considered by the Court, the
application of Paul Fields, Sheriff of Kerr County, Texas, for authority to appoint and

deputize Lawrence Castleberry, Jr., as Deputy Sheriff of Kerr County, Texas, and it appearing
to the Court that said application should be approved, therefore, upon motion made by Commis-
sioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that said
officer be authorized to deputize Lawrence Castleberry as Deputy Sheriff of Kerr County,
Texas, at a salary of $9600.00 per annum, effective the date of his qualification, the same
being February 10, 1978 and that his salary be paid out of the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund.
