day of August 1978, at 10:00 o'clock A. M., in the City of Kerrville, Texas, a regular term
of Commissioners' Court, with the following officers present:

NO. 13404 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS
On this the 14th day of August 1978, came on to be examined by the Court the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the respective Commissioners' Precincts, since
the last term of Court, which claims and accounts were approved for payment by the Auditor
and Treasurer, in amounts and out of Road and Bridge Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, General, Officers
Salary, Jury, Permanent Improvement, County Law Library, Kerr County Juvenile Probation,
216th District Probation, Flood Damage Repair and Flood Control Maintenance and Kerr County
Public Library Funds, as shown in the Minutes of Accounts Allowed, from page 68 thru 74 ,
which were made a part hereof and of this order.
Motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously
approved by the Court.

NO. 13405 MONTHLY REPORTS OF COUNTY AND PRECINCT OFFICIALS OF KERR COUNTY APPROVED
On this the 14th day of August 1978, came on to be examined by the Court the various
reports of July of the County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, Texas, the same having
been heard and considered by the Court. finds that said reports be accepted, therefore, upon
motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Sallee the Court unanimously
approved that the submitted reports be accepted and filed with the County Clerk for future
reference and subject to audit.

NO. 13406 ORDER AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR KERR COUNTY LATERAL ROAD SURPLUS FUNDS IN ACCOUNT
WITH BOARD OF COUNTY & DISTRICT ROAD INDEBTEDNESS
On this the 14th day of August 1978, it coming to the attention of the Court that there
will be surplus funds in the amount of $19,945.67 credited to the lateral road account of
Kerr County by the Board of County and District Road Indebtedness of the State of Texas, and
it appearing to the Court that said funds should properly be expended for the purpose of con-
struction and improvement of lateral roads within Kerr County, it is ordered on motion by
Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved by the Court,

that Kerr County request the Roadd of County and District Road Indebtedness to forward the
"~ said funds to the Treasurer of Kerr County, upon their becoming available, and it is further
ordered that all such funds are here and now earmarked, set aside and designated to be used
by Kerr County for the purpose of construction and improvement of Kerr County Lateral Roads,
and the Treasurer of Kerr County be directed to deposit such funds upon their receipt in the
proper fund in the County Depository and it is further ordered that the County Clerk prepare
a certified copy of this order and forward the same to the Board of County and District Road
Indebtedness, c/o LParren G. Harding, State Treasurer, P. O. Box 12608, Capitol Station,
Austin, Texas 78711.

NO. 13407 APPROVAL OF PLAT Ok' RIVERHILL TOj'7NHOUSE T$ACTS NO. SIX
On this the 14th day of August 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Sallee, the Court unanimously approved the Plat of Riverhill Townhouse Tracts
No. Six, subject to the provisions that actual maintenance of roadways will not be assumed
by Kerr County until residential development shall justify said maintenance and until roads
are constructed to specifications of the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. One.

NO. 13408 RESIGNATION OF DOROTHY SMITH, DEPUTY DISTRICT CLERK
On this the 14th day of August 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of Dorothy Smith,
as part-time Deputy District Clerk, be ratified and confirmed, effective as of August 14, 1978.

NO. 13409 APPOINTMENT OF PRESIDING ELECTION JUDGES OF ELECTION PRECINCT NOS. 1 and 19 and
ALTERNATE PRESIDING JUDGE OF ELECTION PRECINCT NO. 18
On this the 14th day of August 1973, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by
Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved the appointment of Presiding Election
Judges and Alternate Presiding Judge of Election Precincts shown above, as follows:
That Fred Holland be appointed Presiding Judge of Election Precinct No. 1', to
replace Myrtle Steitle, who is unable to serve.
That Douglas A. Swayze be appointed Presiding Judge of Election Precinct No. 19,
to replace Foster Jones, who is unable to serve.
That Pauline Mosty be appointed Alternate Presiding Judge of Election Precinct
No. 18, to replace Mrs. Frank Fischer, who is unable to serve.

N0. 13410 APPROVAL OF COMPENSATION OF ASSISTANT PUBLIC WEIGHER FOR 2/3 OF MONTH OF JULY 1978
On this the 14th day of August 1973, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded
by Commissioner Garrett, the Court unanimously approved that Clayton Milton be compensated as
Assistant Public ~~deigher for 2/3 of the month of July 1978, payable out of the General Fund,
in the amount of $166.66.

NO. 13411 APPROVAL OF CERTIFICATES OF CORRECTION ON DELINQUENT TAX ROLL
On this the 14th day of August 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved Certificate of Correction No. 4802, Page
433, for 1975 and Certificate of Correction No. 9511, Page 17 for 1976 and Page 51 for 1977,
on the Delinquent Tax Rolls, by Tax Assessor/Collector, Doris Lee Smith.
