3~~~ NO. 13473 ORDER REQUESTING STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHYdAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO EXTEND LOOP 534 TO STATE HIGHWAY 16 On this the 9th day of October, 1978 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of extending State Loop 534 to intersect with State Highway 16 at the Kerrville City Limits; and it appearing to the Court that such an extension along the present route of F. M. Road 689, also designated as State Highway 173, would serve to provdie a connecting link which would serve the entire traffic flow pattern entering into the eastern and southern perifories of the Kerrville metropolitan area, and in so doing the State Department of High- ways and Public Transportation would be eliminating the only remaining section of F. M. Road 689 which has not been reconstructed to modern traffic standards and which, in addition to carrying the normal traffic flow of F. M. 689, must also now serve one of the largest residen- tial development areas outside the corporate limits oŁ the City of Kerrville; it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sallee, and unanimously approved by the Court that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County does hereby recommend and request that State Loop 534 as heretofore designated and planned by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation be extended in a westerly direction from its presently planned southern termination along the existing route of F. M. Road 689 (State Highway 173) so as to intersect with State Highway 16 at the City Limits of the City of Kerrville; and, in furtherance of this request, Kerr County will agree to acquire the necessary right of way for the State of Texas in conformance with existing statutory procedures. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13474 ORDER GRANTING KERRVILLE LITTLE LEAGUE, INC. AUTHORITY TO USE PART OF AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION BUILDING GROUNDS FOR LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL FIELD On this the 9th day of October, 1978, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the request of Kerrville Little League, Inc. to use a part of the Agricultural Exhibition Building grounds for amusement and recreational purposes associated with Little League Baseball activities; and it appearing to the Court that a portion of the area lying east of the existing building and parking area is not being utilized by the Kerrville Indian Baseball Club pursuant to authority granted by Order No. 8910 entered on the 11th day of July, 1961, and that as a result of negotiations with the officials of Kerrville Little League, Inc. and the Kerrville Indian Baseball Club it has been agreed by mutual consent of the two organizations that they share the use of the hereinafter described area in a manner which will not interfere with the primary right of use by the Kerrville Indian Baseball Club which is hereby recognized and acknowledged by all parties, including an agreement that no Little League Baseball games be scheduled on Sundays which is the primary day of use by the Kerrville Indians Baseball Club; it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Garrett, and unanimously approved by the Court that Xerrville Little League, Inc. be granted authority to use the aforesaid area as hereinafter delineated for amusement and recreational purposes on the basis and terms hereinbefore and hereinafter set forth; and it is further ordered that the land area to be used hereunder be delineated as follows: BEGINNING at a point where an existing barbed wire fence lying to the east of the Agricultural Building intersects the south right of way line of State Highway 27; THENCE southwest with said existing barbed wire fence a distance of 100 yards; THENCE South- east Łor a distance oŁ 90 yards; THENCE easterly making a 45 degree angle to a point in the south right of way line oŁ State Highway 27 which point is located 150 yards southeast of the point of beginning; THENCE northwesterly with the Highway 27 right of way line a distance of ;3~ 150 yards to the place of beginning; and it is further ordered that Kerr County assumes no liability or responsibility for the use or maintenance of the land area concerned or any improvements placed thereon by Ierrville Little League, Inc.; and it is further ordered that this agreement may be terminated with or without cause by either party subject to 90 days written notice, and that Kerrville Little League shall be permitted to remove any and all improvements from the premises at any time subject to restoration of the premises to original condition. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13475 ORDER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THREE 1979 FOUR DOOR SEDANS FOR USE BY THE KERR COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT On this the 9th day of October 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Garrett, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the County Judge be authorized to advertise for bids for three 1979 four door sedans for use by the Kerr County Sheriff's Department. ITEM #1: For Two 1979 Four Door Sedans Bid shall include trade-in allowance for two 1976 Chevrolet 4-door sedans, VIN 1L69S6S 194 183 and 1L69S6S 194 164, as is, less police radio and other special police equipment. ITEM #2: For One 1979 Four Door Sedan Bid shall include trade-in allowance for one 1975 Ford 4-door sedan VIN 5U53C 13896, as is, less police radio and other special police equipment. Alternate bids for Item No. 1 and Item No. 2 without trade-ins will be accepted and considered. Vehicles to be traded in may be inspected by appointment or at prospective bidder's site on request. Specifications are on file at the office of the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas. Bids to be received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., November 13, 1978, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. Kerr County reserves the right to reject any and all bids as to all three units. M. & LATERAL ROAD FUND On this the 9th day of October 1978, upon motion made by Commissioner Sallee, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby authorized to apportion the sum of $15,000.00 from the F.
