MOTION was made by Commissioner Speakmon and seconded by
ommissioner Lich that the Kerr County Co~mnissioners° Court
accept t e provisions contained in Minute r er o. 76184 passed by the
State Highway and Public Transportation Commission on Auger 19 79 ,
for the improvement by the State C~epartment of Highways and Public Transportation
of the roads described below and that Kerr _ County agrees to furnish
all required right of way free of °:ost to the State
A Spur extending from State Highway 27, 1.4 miles Southeast of
Kerrville City Limit, Southeast to Kerrville Airport, a distance
of approximately 1.3 miles

1. Fusnish all required right of way clear of obstructions and free of
cost to the State with acquisition procedures to be in accordance
with applicable State lava governing acquisition policies for acquir-
ing real property.

2. Construct and maintain a road having a design comparable to the
proposed protect and extending from the end of the proposed pro-
ject 1.2 miles Northeast of State Sighwaq 27, South to Slate
Sighvay 27, a dlatance of approzimately I.7 miles.
The State Department of $ighwaya and Public Transportation rill:
1. Provide far conatroctian of Grading, Structures and Surfacing at as
estimated coat of $402,000.
2. Assume maintenance responsibility after completion of construction.
Dpon acceptance of the proviaiona of this Order by the appropriate officials of
the Citq of Kerrville and Kerr Cotmty, IT IS ORDERED that a SPIIR be and is here-
by designated extending from State Highway 27, 2.3 miles Southeast of Kerrville
City Limit, ?tortheast a diateace of approximatelq I.2 miles and the Engineer-
Director is directed to proceed with preliminary engineering, including prepara-
tion of right of way data, and to proceed in the most feasible and economical
r+s~r,a. with construction, financing a portion of the cost in the amotmt of
$206,000 with foods released by cancellation of Minute Order 72797 and the re-
saiader is the amount of $196,000 is the nett appropriate program.
Ia the event the City sad/or County desires the State to include their construc-
tion responsibilities in the State's construction contract, the Engineer-Director
is authorized to entex into agreement with the City and/or County for such work
and its cost as may be agreed upon,
this Order shall become operative upon acceptance by the City of Xerrville and
Eery County and if sot accepted within 90 days of the date hereof, the action
herein contained shalt be automatically cancelled.
