NO. 13630 ORDER AUTHORIZING COUNTY SHERIFF TO CHARGE AND COLLECT FEES FOR PICKIIQG UP ESTRAYS On this the 12th day of March, 1979 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the request of Sheriff Paul Fields to charge and collect fees for the actual costs incurred in the picking up of unclaimed livestock that is the subject of estray proceedings; and it appearing to the Court that the Sheriff does not have personnel or equipment available for the purpose of picking up unclaimed livestock so that it may be impounded for estray proceed- ings, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court that the Sheriff be authorized to contract the services of private individuals to pick up uncliamed livestock and transport it to a proper place of impoundment incident to estray proceedings at a cost not to exceed $20.00 per animal; and it is further ordered that in event an estray is claimed by its true owner, the Sheriff shall levy and collect, in addition to other statutory fees, the actual costs incurred in the pick- ing up and transporting to the place of impoundment of the animals claimed, or, in event an estray remains unclaimed and is sold at the direction of the Sheriff the said costs shall be deducted from the proceeds of sale along with other statutory fees for the purpose of payment for services rendered in picking up the animal concerned, and in event that rental must be paid for, plus the cost thereof, shall be added to other statutory fees. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13631 APPORTIONMENT OF $18,000.00 FROM GENERAL ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND On this the 12th day of D4arch 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be authorized to apportion the sum of $15,000.00 from the General Road and Bridge Fund to the four Road and Bridge Precincts, as follows: Road and Bridge No. 1 Road and Bridge No. 2 Road and Bridge No. 3 Road and Bridge No. 4 ------ $5,000.00 ------ $4,000.00 ------ $4,000.00 ------ $5,000..00 o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o iQO. 13632 TRANSFER OF $25,000.00 FROM GENERAL FUND TO OFFICERS SALARX FUND On this the 12th day of March 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County Treasure be authorized to transfer the sum of $25,000.00 from the General Fund to the Officers Salary Fund. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13633 RESIGNATION OF HOWARD R. Hollimon, as Juvenile Probation Officer, be accepted, with deep regret, due to his employment as a full time Adult Probation Officer, effective April 1, 1979. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13634 ORDER GRANTING SUPPLEMENTAL COMPENSATION TO ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY OF 198TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT On this the 12th day of March, 1979, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the request of Ronald L. Sutton, District Attorney of the 198th Judicial District, for supplemental compensation to be paid by Kerr County to Stephen B. Ables, Assistant District Attorney of the 198th Judicial District; and it appearing to the Court that the services being rendered in Kerr County by the said Assistant District Attorney warrant the granting of such request ~~U and that such action be authorized under the provisions of Article 332a, Vernon's Texas Statutes, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Speakmon and unanimously approved by the Court that, effective March 1, 1979, Kerr County pay supplemental salary compensation to Steven B. Ables, Assistant District Attorney of the 198th Judicial District in the amount of $150.00 per month, payable out of the General Fund of I:err County and at the pleasure of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13635 OFFER TO SCHREINER COLLEGE FOR RIGHT OF WAY FOR LOOP 534 On i:his the 12th day of Marcki, 1979, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of compensation to be paid Schreiner College as compensation for its conveyance to the State of Texas of a parcel of land required for right of way for the construction of Loop 534, which land comprises 25.123 acres of land out of Surveys 113 and 114, Samuel Ylallace, and is designated as Parcel No. 23 of said right of way; and it appearing to the Court that an agreed amount of compensation has been arrived at, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich, and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County offer to pay Schreiner College the sum of $77,910.00 as compensation for land and damages for its conveyance to the State of Texas of Parcel 23 as aforesaid, subject to the execution and delivery with executed right of way deed of a partial release of all liens and deeds of trust as to the parcel conveyed by the lienholders of record; and it is further ordered that on approval for filing by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation of the aforesaid right of way deed and partial releases of liens, and on final title approval a voucher shall be drawn in the amount of $77,910.00 on the Loop 534 Right of V7ay Fund, payable to Schreiner College. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 13636 MINUTES READ AND APPROVED On this the 12th day of March 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved the Minutes of Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, from pages 429 thru 435, Volume O. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o COURT ADJOURNED MARCH 12, 1979 at 1:10 o'clock P.
