NO. 13655 ORDER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY JUDGE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR THE STATE
OF TEXAS TO SURVEY, INSPECT, APPRAISE A1QD INVENTORY BRIDGES ON PUBLIC ROADS
AND STREETS IN KERR COUNTY
On this the 9th day of April A. D. 1979, came on for consideration by the Commissioners' --.
Court of Kerr County, Texas, convened in Regular Term, the matter of Kerr County, entering
into an Agreement for the State of Texas to survey, inspect, appraise and inventory all bridges
on Public Roads and Streets in said County, acting by and through the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation, and Kerr County acting by and through its authorized
officials, by executing two copies of said agreement, and that the County Judge be authorized
to sign any other papers that may be needed during the work on this project.
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED BY the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County that Kerr County
enter into an Agreement for the State of Texas to survey, inspect, appraise and inventory
Bridges on Public Roads and Streets in I:err County, by executing two copies of said agree-
ment; and
IT IS FURTHER ordered that the County Judge be authorized and he is hereby authorized
to sign any other papers that may be needed during the work on this project.
Under motion of Commissioner Lich and seconded by Commissioner Garrett, the motion
was passed unanimously and it was so ordered passed.

AGREEMENT FOR THE STATE TO SURVEY, INSPECT, APPRAISE ALQD INVENTORY BRIDGES ON PUBLIC ROADS
AND STREETS
THIS AGREEMENT, made this 9th day of April, 1979, by and between the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation, Party of the First Part, hereinafter called the
"Department", and KERR COUNTY, a local government, or governmental agency or entity, Party
of the Second Part, acting by and through its County Judge and by virtue of the authority
shown on Exhibit attached hereto and made a part hereof.
W I T N E S S E T H
SdHEREAS, the Party of the Second Part is owner of certain bridges on public roads and
streets within its jurisdiction; and -..r
Y7IIEREAS, Title 23, United States Code as amended by the Surface Transportation Act of
1973, requires that an inventory, inspection and appraisal be completed of all highway bridges
on public roads and streets; and
C7HEREAS, it is incumbent upon the Department to assure accomplishment of this work.
A G R E E M E N T
NOj9, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and of mutual covenants and agreements
of the parties hereto to be by them respectively kept and performed, as hereinafter set forth,
it is agreed as follows:
1. The Party of the Second Part hereby grants permission to the Department or its
contracted Consultant, to perform on-site surveys and inspections of bridges under its
jurisdiction for the purpose of developing inventory and appraisal information and data, and
further agrees to furnish available information and data concerning such bridges, to the
Department.
2. All of the above described information and data shall be the property of the
Department. However, such information and data will be provided to the Party of the Second
Part upon request.

-2- 3. Nothing herein is intended to change the respective responsibilities under the laws
of this State of the parties hereto. It is expressly understood that the Department's
responsibility shall be limited to the reasonably prompt conveyance of information and data
described in 2 above to the Party of the Second Part. Responsibility for deciding upon the
imposition of load restriction, closure, repair or other such action, shall remain that of
the Party of the Second Part.

by Commissioner Garrett, the Court unanimously approved that payment of salaries and the
expenses of the Kerr County Juvenile Probation Office, incurred after April 1, 1979, be paid
from the General Fund of Kerr County, due to termination of Grant of State Funds.

AND APPROVAL OF SALARY FOR FULL TIME ADULT PROBATION OFFICER
On this the 9th day of April 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by
Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved that the compensation of Howard R.
Hollimon as Assistant Adult Probation Officer of the 216th Judicial District, be terminated,
effective April 7th, 1979, and that his salary as full time Adult Probation Officer of the
216th Judicial District, be effective as of April 8th, 1979, in the amount of $13,500.00 per
annum, payable out of the 216th District Probation Fund.

ORDER CONCERNING PROBATION OFFICER
Effective the 8th day of April, 1979, HOWARD R. HOLLIMON, who was appointed Adult
Probation Officer by Order dated the 11th day of August, 1978, and who, effective the 1st day
of October, 1978, assumed the duties of such office, pursuant to Order dated the 7th day of
October, 1975, shall supervise adult probationers in the County Courts of Bandera, Gillespie,
Kendall, Kerr and Kimble Counties, the 198th and 216i:h Judicial District Courts of Bandera,
Kerr and I:imble Counties, and the 216th Judicial District Court of Gillespie and Kendall
Counties, and juvenile probationers in the County and District Courts of Bandera, Gillespie
Kendall and Kimble Counties.
The salary of said Adult Probation Officer shall be in the amount of $13,500.00 per
annum, payable in monthly increments of $1,125.00, effective the 8th day of April, 1979. All
other pecuniary benefits, reimbursements and emoluments of office shall be in accordance with
