Please accept and approve this letter as a record of our agreement whereby the Commis-
sinners Court of Kerr County, hereinafter called Client, has employed the law firm of Perdue,
'~ Brandon, Blair, Shiever and Fielder, hereinafter called Attorneys, to assist Kerr County
'I' Attorney James Nogues, hereinafter called County Attorney, in enforcing the collection of
delinquent ad valorem taxes, penalties, interest and costs assessed to and owed by Lo-Vaca
'', Gathering Company for the years 1977, and 1978 and any subsequent years becoming due during

~' the pendancy of this action. It is agreed that no settlement of said claim shall be made by

"" the Attorneys without the Client's approval, nor by the Client without the Attorneys' approval,
In consideration of said legal services rendered hereunder, Client agrees to compensate
Attorneys in the amount of 15~ of the taxes, penalties and interest recovered and collected
from Lo-Vaca by settlement or suit through the State District Court level, plus $75.00 per
hour out-of-court and $100.00 per hour in-court beyond that level in an appeal by either the
Client or Lo-Vaca.
After approval by the Commissioners Court and County Attorney, as evidenced by the
signatures hereinbelow, please record this letter in the Court's minutes and return a copy
to us.
