NO. 13883 EMPLOYMENT OF PRESSLER, THOMPSON AND COMPANY TO AUDIT KERR COUNTY BOOKS FOR 1979
On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved that the professional services of
Pressler, Thompson and Company be employed to audit the books of the County and Precinct
Officials of Kerr County, Texas, for the calendar year 1979.

On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved the PLAT OF N. B. C. CENTER, a sub-
division containing 5.38 acres of land out of Walter Fosgate Survey 120, Abstract 138, in
Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas.

NO. 13885 ORDER AUTHORIZING COUNTY ATTORNEY TO INTERVENE IN DELINQUENT TAX SUITS PENDING IN
DISTRICT COURT
On this the 10 day of December 1979, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the necessity of authorizing and directing County Attorney James C. Nogues to act on behalf
of Kerr County and the State of Texas in the matter of intervening and filing claims in the
148th & 216th Judicial District Courts of Kerr County, pursuant to Article 7345b, Texas Civil
Statutes, the said causes being delinquent tax suits, listed as follows:

It appearing to the Court that the Kerr County Tax Collector has been heretofore served
with Citation in said causes on behalf of Kerr County and the State of Texas and that interven-
tion and filing of a claim in these causes is required to preserve the claims of Kerr County

and the State of Texas arising from delinquent taxes due them and constituting a lien on the
property which is subject to the said delinquent tax suits, it is ordered on motion by
Commissioner Lich seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court that
the County Attorney be authorized and directed to proceed to file an intervention in the said
causes as above set forth and otherwise proceed according to law in this matter.

NO. 13886 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF DORIS LEE SMITH, TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR, FOR APPOINTMENT
OF BILLIE COON AS DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR AND MARY L. BROOKS, AS DEPUTY TAX
ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR
On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the application of Tax Assessor-Collector,
Doris Lee Smith, for authority to appoint and deputize the following deputies:
Billie Coon, Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector, at a salary of $6600.00 per annum,
effective the date of her qualification, payable out of Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund
and
Mary L. Brooks, Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector, at a salary of $6600.00 per annum,
effective the date of her qualification, payable out of Revenue Sharing Trust

NO. 13887 ACCEPTANCE OF AUDIT OF JAIL CONSTRUCTION GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT
On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the audit by Pressler,
Thompson & Company, in the amount of $1228.75, of jail construction grant funds, LPW Grant
No. 08-51-00990.
It is ordered by the Court that the Auditor and Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher
in the amount of $1228.75, payable to Pressler, Thompson and Company, out of the Jail Construc-
tion Fund, for services rendered in connection with the audit.

NO. 13888 ORDER AUTHORIZING SHERIFF, PAUL FIELDS, TO CONTRACT WITH THE U. S. MARSHAL FOR
HOUSING OF FEDERAL PRISONERS IN THE KERR COUNTY JAIL
On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that Sheriff, Paul Fields, be authorized
to contract with the United States Marshal, for the safekeeping, care and subsistence of
Federal Prisoners housed in the Kerr County Jail, at a contract rate of $14.00 per prisoner
per day.

NO. 13389 APPORTIONMENT OF $18,000.00 FROM F.M. & LATERAL ROAD FUND
On this the 10th day of December 1979, upon motion made by Commissioner Speakmon, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County
Treasurer be authorized to apportion the sum of $18,000.00 from the F. M. & Lateral Road Fund
to the four Road and Bridge Precincts, as follows:
