Schreiner Bank, whereby an °~ investment of $2,000.00 from the account of the Kerr County Permanent School Fund in Certifi- cate of Deposit #9752 was invested on July 9, 1980, to mature on Nov. 5, 1980 concurrently with other funds out of Kerr County Permanent School Fund which are invested in Money Market Certificates, be in all things ratified and confirmed. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o ORDER NO. 14075 RE: GRANT APPLICATION FOR EXTENSIOP7 OI' CURRENT GRANT FOR FUNDING OF ASSISTAtdT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS - 216TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, KERB COUNTY, TEXAS, by resolution adopted September 10, 1979, has expressed a need for an Assistant District Attorney to enable Kerr County to efficiently process criminal cases and to comply with the Speedy Trial Act; and WHEREAS, due to the end of the current District Attorney's tenure in office on December 31, 1980, said Assistant District Attorney would be offered employment for a limited period of time until December 31, 1980; and WHEREAS, said District Attorney was only able to secure the services of an Assistant District Attorney by engaging the services part-time each of two attorneys of the County, said attorneys each to retain their private civil practice part-time and be employed as Assistant District Attorneys on an hourly basis, and WHEREAS, KERB COUNTY, TEXAS in and for the 216th Judicial District has available a grant from the criminal justice division to pay said Assistant District Attorneys on a part- time hourly basis for the period June 1, 1980 to September 30, 1930; and WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Kerr County, Texas wish to apply for an extension of the aforesaid grant to cover the period of October 1, 1980 to December 31, 1980 for said Assistant District Attorneys; and WHEREAS, the Criminal Justice Division has required a matching 20~ contribution by Kerr County of a proposed budget of $3,724.00 between October 1, 1980 and December 31, 1980; and Y~fiEREAS said grant shall expire on December 31, 1980, then not requiring further obliga- tions on the part of Kerr County. NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that Kerr County does hereby authorize the County Judge of Kerr County to make application to the Criminal Justice Division for an extension of the current grant period from October 31, 1980 to December 31, 1930, and does further agree to allocate the sum of $750.00, being $250.00 each for the additional months of October, Oj ~"`, November, and December of 1980, towards support of the Assistant District Attorneys project.
