R. FRENCH, JR. On this the 13th day of October, 1980, upon motion made by Commissioner Garrett, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the employment of the law firm of Perdue, Brandon, Blair, Shiever and Fielder, to assist the County Attorney of Kerr County, Texas with the collection of certain delinquent taxes for the year 1979 owing Kerr County, Divide Common School District No. 12 and the State of Texas, pursuant to matters in controversy in Cause No. 80-160-B on the docket of the 198th District Court of Kerr County styled L. R. French, Jr. vs. Doris Lee Smith, Tax Assessor-Collector, et al, as per letter proposal dated September 18, 1980, on file with the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 14149 APPROVAL OF TAX COLLECTION CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF KERR AND THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, BEGINNING FEBRUARY 1, 1981 On this the 13th day of October 1980, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved the Tax Collection Contract between the County of Kerr and the City of Kerrville, beginning February 1, 1981, and that said Con- tract be recorded in the Commissioners' Court Minutes of Kerr County, Texas. TAX COLLECTION CONTRACT This Tax Collection Contract made and beginning on February 1, 1981, by and between the County of Kerr and the City of Kerrville, as follows: 1. Term. This Contract shall begin on February 1, 1981, and shall terminate on January 31, 1985, unless sooner terminated as provided herein below. 2. Tax Collections. The County agrees to collect on behalf of the City, all ad valorem taxes, penalties and interest due, or which may become due to the City of Kerrville during the time this Contract is in effect. The obligation of the County hereunder is to bill and collect current and delinquent taxes, penalties and interest, but the obligation hereunder does not include the obligation to appraise properties nor to assess them. Beginning February 1, 1981, it is expected that such appraisal and assessment duties will be accomplished by the Kerr County Tax Appraisal District. 3. Records. The City, without further cost, shall, at any time be permitted to inspect and copy all records, including appraisals, assessments, bills, statements, computer tapes, any and all other material in the possession of the County in any way pertaining to the
