FOR MERIT INCREASES FOR LOIS HUDSON, RUBY P7HITLOCK AND
BETTY SEVEY, DEPUTIES TO THE COUNTY CLERK
On this the 9th day of June 1980, upon motion made by
Commissioner Speakmon, seconded by Commissioner Lich,
the Court unanimously approved salary increases for
Lois i~udson, Ruby 44hitlock and Betty Sevey, Deputies
to the County Clerk, listed as follows:
Lois Hudson, Deputy County Clerk - salary increase
from $7,980.00 to $8,340.00 per annum, effective
6/1/1980.($30.00 monthly increase),
Ruby S+Thitlock, Deputy County Clerk - salary increase
from $7,440.00 to 7,800.00 per annum, effective
6/1/80 ($30.00 monthly increase),
and
Betty Sevey, Deputy County Clerk - salary increase
from $7,080.00 per annum to $7,680.00 per annum,
effective 6/1/80 ($50.00 monthly increase).

Gentlemen:

Due to some of the ci.anges made iri regard tc sala:,y
increases for new employees, after 90 days of experience,
I would like for the Court to consider some of my employees,
namely the following:
LOTS HUDSON, Deputy County Clerk
Lois is in charge of all of the Vital Statistics
Records and also tikes quite a responsibility
with the Elections. She has been with me for
over 7 years, Due to heY responsibilities, I
feel that she deserves a merit increase, from
$7,980.00 to $8,340.00 per annum, which would
amount to a $30.00 monthly increase in salary.
RUBY YIFIITLOCK, Deputy County Clerk
Ruby works in the land rec'.rds and is assuming
more responsibility in that department, as well
as learning the microfilming. She has been with
me almost 3 years and also merits an increase,
from $7,440.00 to $7,800.00 per annum, which
would amount to a $30.00 monthly increase in
salary.
BETTY SEVEY, Deputy County Clerk
Bet`y is fully in charge of all microfilming and
is one of my lowest paid employees. She has been
with me over a year and can do most any of the
duties that are taught to her, therefore, I feel
that she merits an increase, from $7,080.00 to
$7,680.00 per annum, which would amount to a
$50.00 monthly increase in salary. This amount
is a little more than the two deputies listed
above, but I must bring her salary up, for I see
a great future in her,
Gentlemen, I would greatly appreciate your consideration in
this matter, and if approved, that it be effective as of
6/I/80.
