ORDER NO. 13908
ORDER SETTING COUNTY AND PRECINCT OFFICIALS
ON SALARY BASIS
On this the 14th day of January 1980, at a Regular Term
of the Commissioners' Court, with a quorum being present,
there came on for consideration the matter of compensation
of various County and Precinct Officials of Kerr County,
Texas, for the year 1980., as provided for in Article 3912e,
Section 6, R.C.S. of Texas.
And it appearing to the Court that Kerr County has a
population of less than 20,000 inhabitants, according to
the last Federal Census and that the interests of the County
would be best served if the County Officials and Precinct
Officials of Kerr County be paid on a salary basis as provided
by law, for the year 1980..
Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Garrett
seconded by Commissioner Lich , and unanimously
approved by the Court, it is ordered that the County Officials
and Precinct Officials of Kerr County be paid on a salary
basis as provided by law, for the year 1980.
It is further ordered by the Court that the Clerk of the
Court prepare a certified copy of this order and send same
to the Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin, Texas.

Dear Ms. Muenker:
I have just written Judge Neunhoffer to call his attention to the
requirement that the Commissioners Court must decide whether your county
officers will be paid on a fee or salary basis in 1980 at its first
regular January meeting.
I pointed out that we cannot issue any payments to your county officers'
salary fund unless you send us official notice of the court's action by
January 31. Details of these requirements are set out in Article 3912e,
Section 2, R.C.S.
