ORDER REDEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY
COMPQISSIONERS'PRECINCTS OF KERR COUNTY,
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1982.
On this the 14th day of Decernber,l981, came on to be
heard and considered by the Court the matter of redefining
the boundaries of the four County Commissioners' Precincts of
Kerr County, and it appearing to the Court that pursuant to
Article 5, Section 18, of the Constitution of the State of
Texas, the Commissioners Court shall, from time to time, for
the convenience of the people, divide Kerr County into four
Commissioners' Precincts, and it further appearing to the Court
that the proposed redefinition of the Loundaries of the four
Commissioners' Precincts of Kerr County as adopted by the
Commissioners' Court of Kerr County on June 29, 1981, pursuant
to Order No. 14387 entered that. date has been granted pre-
clearance by the United States Department of Justice on Decem-
ber 4, 1981, pursuant to Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act
of 1965, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, with Commissioners Speakmon, Lich, and
Guthrie and County Judge Neunhoffer voting "AYE" and Commis-
sioner Holland "ABSTAINING" from voting, said motion carrying
by a majority vote and approved by the Court that Kerr County
shall be, as of the effective date of this order, divided into
four Commissioners' Precincts as hereinafter described by metes
and bounds, and that, pursuant to the authority contained in
Article 23512, Vernon's Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, the pro-
visions of this order shall become effective on January 1, 1982,
and be in effect thereafter until altered by proper and lawful
order or statute.
COMMISSIONERS' PRECINCT ONE
Beginning at the point where the east right of way line of State Highway
16 intersects the common boundary line of Kerr and Gillespie Counties;
Thence southwesterly with the east right of way line of State Highway 16
to the point of its intersection with the south right of way line of Interstate
Highway 10 as platted by the Texas Highway Department;
Thence in a westerly direction with the south right of way line of said
Interstate 10 to the point of its intersection with the centerline of Town Creek;
Thence down the centerline of Town Creek to the point of its intersection
with the west line of a section of the old Town Creek Road situated on the south
bank of Town Creek in Sur. 120, W. Fosgate;
Thence with the west and southwest line of the said old Town Creek Road
to the point where it again intersects the centerline of Town Creek;
Thence southeasterly with the centerline of Town Creek to a point in the
City of Kerrville which marks the intersection of the centerline of Town Creek
with a line which is a projection of the south line of Lot 1, Block 4 of the
Hazy Hills Subdivision of the City of Kerrville;
Thence south 74° 38' west with the said line to the east corner of Lot 1,
Block 4 of the Hazy Hills Subdivision and continuing on the same course with the
said south line to the west corner of the said Lot 1, Block 4 and continuing
on in a direct line to the point of intersection with the centerline of Blue Be11
