Sciba, Chief Deputy Sheriff of Kerr County, Texas, be ratified and confirmed, with regret,

AS CHIEF DEPUTY SHERIFF OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 8th day of June 1981, upon motion made by Commissioner Speakmon, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the request of Paul Fields, Sheriff, for
the appointment of ARTHUR V. SCHMIDT as CHIEF DEPUTY SHERIFF OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, effective
June 16th, 1981, and that his salary be fixed at $12,600.00 per annum, effective that date.

On this the 8th day of June 1981 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the ~~
request of the State Highway Department for a recission by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr ~j
County of its Order No. 14,338 passed on May 11, 1981 adopting a resolution requesting the ',
reconveyance of an used portion of State Highway 27 right of way to the original grantors; ~)

and it appearing to the Court that the title history of the property concerned requires a ~~ ,.,.>-
different reconveyance procedure under the laws of the State of Texas than that set forth in
the said Order No. 14,338 originally drafted by the Texas Highway Department, it is ordered
on motion by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, and unanimously approved
by the Court that the aforesaid Order No. 14,338 dated May 11, 1981 and recorded in Vol. P,
page 38 of the minutes of the Court be in all things rescinded so that consideration may be
given by the Court to two substitute resolutions relative to the reconveyance of the said
unused portion of State Highway 27 right of way, which two resolutions have been drafted by
the Texas Highway Department.

WEIEREAS, by eminent domain proceedings dated February 4, 1946 as recorded in Volume 2,
Page 454, of the Court Minutes of Kerr County, Texas, a 1.76 acre tract of land was acquired
by Kerr County,	Texas,	in the name of and for subsequent use of the State of Texas	in connec-
tion with State	Highway	27; and	
WHEREAS, a portion of the aforesaid tract is no longer needed for the use of the citiz
