Commissioner Precinct No. 4 ~' and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: N0. 14464 ORDER PROPOSING TAX RATE INCREASES AND SETTING TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON On this the 16th day of September, 1981 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the necessity of increasing the 1981 tax rates of Kerr County for both county ad valorem purposes and for FM and lateral road purposes, which proposed increases would be more than 3% of the effective tax rate as calculated by the Kerr County Tax Assessor-Collector, pursuant to Article 7244c, Sec. 1, VTCS; and it appearing to the Court that such increases are necessary to meet the essential fiscal requirements for the efficient operation of the Kerr County government for the calendar and fiscal year 1982, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Lich that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County propose to increase the 1981 tax levy of Kerr County by 40.95% above the calculated effective tax rate for county ad valorem purposes, which increase would provide $442,080.00 of budgetable revenue for general operational purposes; and that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County propose to increase the 1981 tax levy by 147% above the effective tax rate for FM and lateral road purposes, which increase would provide $268,725.00 of budgetable revenue for county road construction and maintenance; and it is further ordered that pursuant to the provisions of Article 7244c, Sec. 3, VTCS, a public hearing on the two proposed increases be held on September 29, 1981 at 5:05 p. m. in the County Courtroom in the Kerr County Courthouse and that proper notice of such hearing be published as required by law.
