N0. 3 REFERRED TO COUNTY AUDITOR FOR STUDY AND RECOMMENDATION
On this the 9th day of November 1981, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved that the bids for one articulated
loader, for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. 3, be referred to the County
Auditor for study and recommendation.

On this the 9th day of November 1981, came on to be examined by the Court, the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County, and the respective Commissioners' Precincts, since
the last term of Court, which claims and accounts were approved for payment by the Auditor
and Treasurer, in amounts and out of Road & Bridge No. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Lateral Road 4, General
Road & Bridge, General, Officers Salary, County Law Library, Jury, 216th District Probation,
Jail Operating and Revenue Sharing Trust Funds, as shown in the Disbursements' Journal in the
County Auditor's Office, which are made a part hereof and of this order.
Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie and unanimously
approved by the Court.

N0. 14504 ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL OF HUNTER ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
CITY/COUNTY LANDFILL DEVELOPMENT
On this the 9th day of November 1981, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the proposal of Hunter

Associates, Inc., for Engineering Services for the City/County Landfill Development, subject
to the approval by the City of Kerrville.

N0. 14505 APPROVAL OF FINAL PLAT OF ROY STREET ESTATES
On this the 9th day of November 1981, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the FINAL PLAT OF ROY STREET ESTATES,
being 3.76 acres out of Sur. No. 116, B. F. Cage and 0.41 acres out of Sur. No. 2528, A. H.
Brodie, in Kerr County Precinct No. 3.

N0. 14506 APPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH MOTHERAL INDUSTRIES FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR AIRPORT
IMPROVEMENTS
On this the 9th day of November 1981, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved a Contract with Motheral Industries
for Engineering Services in the amount of $38,000.00, for Airport Land Acquisition and Entry
Road Relocation, subject to concurrence by the City of Kerrville and approval by Federal
Aviation Administration and Texas Areonautics Commission.

PETITION TO DISCONTINUE
ROAD
TO THE HONORABLE COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, there presently exists an easement and way of access lying in Precinct No. 4,
in Kerr County, Texas, being more fully described by beginning point and terminating point
in EXHIBIT "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, such way and road
being presently utilized as a public road and hereinafter called the OLD ROAD;
AND WHEREAS, such OLD ROAD has become inconvenient to use as a public road;
AND WHEREAS, the only persons receiving any benefit of sole ingress and egress to and
from their lands by virtue of such OLD ROAD is S. H. LANCASTER also known as HOLLIS S.
LANCASTER, and further such road constitutes an easement across his land thereby effectively
denying him the use of the surface of the land which lies within the OLD ROAD, without any
real benefit to others;
AND WHEREAS, it would be to the public interest to close and discontinue such OLD ROAD; ~
NOW THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

That pursuant to Article 6703, V.A.C.S. and Article 6705, V.A.C.S., each of the undersign-
ed persons or entities hereinafter called PETITIONERS, being at least eight (8) freeholders
in and of the aforesaid precinct in which such OLD ROAD is desired to be discontinued, hereby ~
respectfully petition the Honorable Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, hereinafter
called the COURT, to discontinue and permanently to close the above described and above
mentioned OLD ROAD, and further to place this matter on the agenda of the Court for action
at the first regular or special meeting of the Court occurring as soon as possible after
the expiration of twenty (20) days from the date of posting of this petition.
PETITIONERS further respectfully allege that such action by the Court would be expedient
and would better serve the public interest.
Statutory notice of this Petition shall be given by posting one copy of same at the
Courthouse door of the County Courthouse, Kerr County, Texas, and further by posting one copy
