The required inspection, testing, and maintenance shall be performed by an FCC licensed technician, certified by the FAA to maintain a Wilcox Mark 1-D Instrument Landing System Localizer and a Wilcox Outer Marker Southern Avionics Compass Locator. The contractor is responsible for all training necessary for FAA certification and all costs involved in certification and licensing. No payment shall be made by the Owner for training or testing. All terms, provisions and conditions of this contract are embodied within this document which shall become a binding contract upon acceptance of this document by the Kerrville City/County Airport Board. Clerk & Ex-Officio Clerk of_Commissioners' Court -~.- a3-81 Date SPECIFICATIONS LUUIS SCHREINER FIELD KERRVILLE, TEXAS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR WILCOX MARK 1-D INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM LOCALIZER AND WILCOX OUTER MARKER SOUTHERN AVIONICS COMPASS LOCATOR EQUIPMENT The Maintenance Contract for servicing and maintaining the Wilcox Mark 1-D Instrument Landing System Localizer and Wilcox Guter Marker Southern Avionics Compass Locator Equipment at the Louis Schreiner Field will be based upon the following criteria: 1. Perform metering of the navaid equipment on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, as required by the FAA, and in accordance with the manufac- turers specifications. 2. Perform periodic maintenance checks and perform the required main- tenance as required by the FAA, on a monthly basis, and in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. 3. Participate in quarterly Flight Inspections with the FAA and perform the required adjustment or maintenance indicated by the FAA and the manufacturer as a result of the quarterly Flight Inspections. 4. Represent the Airport on periodic technical inspections by the FAA. The estimated time to perform the basic normal inspection, testing, and maintenance of the Wilcox Model 1-D Instrument Landing System Localizer and the Wilcox Outer Marker Southern Avionics Compass Locator is 40 hours per month on a yearly basis. Any additional maintenance work is to be performed on a cost plus basis with a price quoted on an hourly basis in accordance with the proposal. The Contractor will be reimbursed for replacement parts based on the actual cost of the parts delivered to the job site. The items to be maintained under this Contract shall be the following: 1. Localizer Facility: a. Localizer System, Wilcox Mark 1-D b. Localizer Antenna System c. Localizer Remote Status Indicator/Control Unit d. Test Equipment 2. Outer Marker Southern Avionics Compass Locator Facility; a. Non-Directional Beacon System with Antenna b. Compass Locator Facility Remote Monitoring Unit c. Test Equipment All of the above mentioned facilities shall be considered a part of the equipment to be maintained. The Contractor will be required to perform all maintenance as required on this system. The Contractor will have sole access to these facilities and will be responsible for maintenance of all associated test equipment. All equipment will be inven- toried at the beginning of the contract and will remain in custody of the Contractor for the duration of the contract. The Contractor must hold all applicable FCC licenses and must be FAA certified, in accordance with FAA ORDER No. 3400. 3E, to perform maintenance on the equip- ment.
