APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER Cpl OF CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF ACCESS ROAD TO PARKING APRON AT THE KERRVILLE ffUNICIPAL
AIRPORT AND AUTHOP~IZATION FOR PAYMENT TO THE CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 15th day of May 1981, upon motion made by Commis-
sioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich, with Commis-
sioners Holland, Speakmon, Lich and County Judge Neunhoffer
voting "AYE" and Commissioner Guthrie voting "NO", said
motion carrying by a majority vote, that Change Order Cpl of
Contract for Construction of Access Road to Parking Apron
at the Kerrville I-iunicipal Airport, for work performed by
Schwarz Construction Company, as approved by Motheral
Industries Incorporated, be approved.
It is ordered that the Auditor and Treasurer be authorized
to draw a voucher in the amount of $7,041.83 for Kerr County's
one-half, payable to the City of Kerrville out of the General
Fund.

Dear Mr. Clanton:
We have used the information on the enclosed sketch and have calculated the
5-inch base material required and the quantity found on the project. Be-
ginning at the south end of the new pavement near Dugosh and continuing to
the new cattle guard we found the in-place quantity is short by 42.38 C.Y.,
which translates into 305.136 S.Y, and $1,067.98 @ $3.50 per square yard.
We then added the $1,067.98 base shortage to the asphalt correction of
$3,578.00 (3,578 S.Y, x $1.00) for a total deduct of $4,645.98. The $1.00
asphalt correction represents the difference between the bid price and the
over-billed price on the Temporary Road portion of the Contract. Next, we
deducted the $4,645.98 total over-billing from the $46,272.74 shown on
Schwarz's March 23, 1981, statement leaving $41,626.771 as [he total corrected
Contract amount. By deducting the $24,935.94 previous payment, the City and
County together owe Schwarz Construction Company $16,690.82 as final payment
for this project. Since the original Contract was $32,847.75 and the cor-
rected Contract is $41,626.76, we have enclosed a Change Order for $8,779.01
to adjust the original Contract to match the final Contract. -
