On this the 20 day of May, 1982, being temporarily absent by reason of physical
incapacitation, I appoint Jim W. Weatherby, a retired District Judge of this State who has
qualified for the judicial retirement system, to serve as Special County Judge of Kerr Cou
for the period of one day, May 21, 1982.
This appointment is made on the motion of the Court and pursuant to Article 1933a,
Sec. 3, Vernon's Annotated Revised Civil Statutes.

fire contract, which was initially approved on September 11, 1979 and which began on October '

Said new rate of $24,000 per annum takes the place of the existing Section 2 of the

On this the 26th day of May 1982, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of a portion of NIXON LANE
(which had not previously been maintained by Kerr County), said lane is located in a Sub-
division known as MONTEBELLO ESTATES, the Plat of which is recorded in Volume 4, Page 50,
Plat Records of Kerr County, Texas, located in Kerr County Precinct Number One.

On this the 1st day of June 1982, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the Building construct-
ed by Metal Systems of Fredericksburg, Texas, at Kerr County Precinct No. One Yard.
It is further ordered by the Court that the County Auditor and County Treasurer be
authorized to draw two vouchers, payable to P4eta1 Systems, one in the amount of $11,663.00,
which is the balance owing on contract dated 2/12/1982, and the other voucher in the amount
of $1,360.00 for additional work performed for installation of gutters & downspouts and
insulation, payable out of Precinct No. One Road & Bridge Fund.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
CITY/COUNTY FIRE FIGHTING AGREEMENT
This Agreement by and between the CITY OF KERRVILLE, Kerr County, Texas, hereinafter
called "City", acting through its Mayor and attested by its City Clerk., and the COUNTY OF
KERR, hereinafter called "County", acting through the Commissioners Court of such County,
pursuant to the order of the said Commissioners Court:
WITNESSETH:
The City and County agree to the establishing of a new manner of payment wherein the
County will pay to the City monthly the rate of $2,000 per month for fire service rendered
hereunder beginning on June 1, 1982, and terminating on September 30, 1982, under the identi-
cal terms and conditions of the existing second one-year extension of the existing fire
contract which was initially approved on September 11, 1979, and which began on October 1,
1979.
This new rate of $24,000 per annum takes the place of the existing Section 2 of the
contract which provided for unit cost for Class 1 and Class 2 fires.
EXECUTED this the 25 day of May, 1982.
